Arguably the best for Icelandic
It’s definitely pricy, but most unions will cover it, and if not they offer discounts. On to the actual content, it’s far more structured with a better UI than Icelandic Online or other online resources. Definitely worth it if you can’t/don’t want to take a class, or even just as a side resource.
The Number 1# Icelandic Learning App
Due to the limitations of resources its so rare to find an app like this one dedicated only to icelandic language the process of learning vocabulary, grammar through typing conversations and reading immersion is astounding definitely the only app for learning icelandic i would recommend is this one
Best app for Icelandic
Currently the best app on the market for Icelandic. I do think it can do a few things better but they just launched like 2 years ago, so of course there is still growing to do
I think some of the text can be hard to read due to the design / contrast / font size, so that may make it more difficult for some people to use
I think some of the questions are too difficult. On day three, it teaches you the word “uppáhaldsliturinn”, and one of the closing quiz questions is an audio recording of someone using it in a sentence but I think that word may be a bit long to figure out how to spell correctly from an audio sample on day three of learning the language
I also do wish the cost were lower or they offered a subscription. I know their FAQ says why they don’t but the price makes it difficult for me to fit into my budget, whereas I could easily fit a subscription into my budget. Perhaps consider offering shorter licenses? If the course is meant to be completed in 3 months, offer a license at 1/4 the cost for 1/4 the time, and it would be easier to afford as opposed to the huge upfront cost

By far the best language learning app I’ve encountered
Tvík should be the model for all language learning apps! There’s a compelling story line, a dry and hilarious sense of humor underlying everything, and constant reassurance that you don’t need to immediately get everything perfect. Plus the conversational immersion really makes you learn the language in context of speaking it daily. It’s the next best thing to having Icelandic friends :)
