No longer good option
Check the date on the reviews. Prior to 2026 it was called Canvas.io and was a great product. This is no longer the case. Do not recommend.
Canvas was great- TWINDO NOT SO MUCH
Paying customer last 9 months, sudden policy change and rebrand and lack of notification let me in a bad position, could not access my files without signing a PDF contract by email tied to a special $100/month membership fee. Tried to resolve through company. Only reasonable takeaway one can have is that they don’t care about their customers. It’s a shame because I found it useful and begun to reply on it (though bc of their flub-up I’ve since done my research and I see there are much better more affordable option.) The people who run this company just want money so badly they forgot to do a decent job running the company.

Meh
Before being rebranded Twindo it was a great app. Now it crashes all the time, and the .obj files are no longer accessible when you manage to scan without a problem
Crazy price per SF
Get Scaniverse it does the same but for free then convert your obj to .skp for free online. Twindo quoted my scan $900 to be converted to a .skp file ( ridiculous )
Stopped working
Used this app as a subscriber for along time, but after an IOS updated, it stopped working. A coworker also experienced the exact same issue.. Try to contact customer service and they were not helpful at all and said it was my phone.. Been using a competing scanner since with no problem.
Deceiving Billing Practices
Will not allow you option to remove Apple billing information on the app and continues to charge. Does not show Apple billing on the website. Bills on cc as “canva” which is deceiving as that not the name in any case. I don’t know why I’m forced to leave any star.
Empowers me in my business
I started using Canvas to scan spaces to save time in the beginning of a project then later realized it allowed me to measure spaces while pregnant. It’s empowering and I can see Canvas gaining more popularity in the near future!
Expensive! 1000 sqft = $250
Simple to use. However, scanning my house and converting it into a file is $250! Too expensive to consider. I could hire someone for $25/hr for 10 hours and get a heck of a lot more value.

Error message says it needs phone12 or newer. I have iPhone 16 it says device is not supported

I’ve used Canvas for several years and the new subscription model. They rolled out is absolutely useless.
Low Quality Render
I much prefer the previous version Canvas lite. The render was so clear and now none of my assistants can download it as it’s no longer available. Bummer. I’ll probably have to find another app that has more clarity visually with the 3d render.
misleading
So tired of apps that let you put in So much time, just to ask for money to save your work. Be very clear up front. It so obvious you’re hoping people pay just to avoid losing their work. Dishonest at best

Scan will not load. 29.00 a/mth for nothing.
Pricey
Love the capabilities and the interface is very user friendly. Why can’t you have some cheaper export format options all the way down to .pdf or a smooth 3D walkthrough
Expensive
No freedom to use data the way I want. Locked behind a paywall. Developers force uses down path when open formats are all we need

So far so good I just barely scanned and uploaded. We’ll see what we get with me. Get the plans or they give me a call for any different information that they need.
Exceeds expectations
This app has quickly become an integral part of our small remodel business. Completely sold after using the app for a couple jobs. Huge time saver for bidding and designing a job. The Chief Architect files from Canvas are ready to go, with accurate measurements and small details. The accuracy is impressive.

The best app on my phone
When I first downloaded this app I was surprised how good it was and didn’t realise iPhone Pros had such capable LiDAR scanners. I’ve been using this app for 2 years and it just keeps getting better. Absolutely incredible tool for visualisation of properties and figuring out dimensions and how things are placed in relation to others. Using this app I actually found a few false walls and voids in one property which we opened up and added a bathroom. Would have never known it existed without this app. I’m looking forward to using this app on all future projects. Highly recommend.
