Poorly moderated, Unprofessional devs, inappropriate
This is advertised as a fun social app that is generally family friendly, but as soon as you open it you will be met with public posts of people asking for adult images, and sexting requests. My personal messages are flooded so quickly with chats from men I’ve never interacted with asking for me to participate in inappropriate activities, so much so I thought the app was flooded with NSFW bots, but when I asked other users about it, I was told that it’s real people dming anyone they could. I thought there was no moderation at all with how dishoveled it looked but it turns out there is a bit of moderation… because I got banned. If you do get banned they won’t do what most apps do where they tell you what you did that broke the rules. For context: I did not swear, I did not engage in any inappropriate discussions with anyone, I did not participate in any hate speech. I reached out to the email given in the more tab to see what it was I’ve done that may have gotten my account suspended, and twiq got back to me a few hours later, providing me a message that I sent that said: “I love my baby (I call my dog my baby lol) but when she drinks water out of her bowl she always runs over to me and gets her drool all over my pants, cut it out.” and they simply told me “you cannot say that”. I’m puzzled, I reach out again to ask how it broke any guidelines considering the message was quite wholesome and non threatening. I also asked if they had a list of their rules, an FAQ or anything that I could see for myself. There hasn’t been a reply yet, but they did change my ban from a week long one to a two year one so, yeah there’s that 😭 I had only been using the app for a few days so it’s not like I have an emotional attachment to it where I feel I need to use it, but it does feel sucky to be treated poorly and not have any explanation to any of my questions, especially considering I was pretty polite and patient and can’t think of anything I’ve done to warrant this… and maybe I’m a little bit befuddled too because how did me talking about my dog get me in trouble but a bunch of men talking sexually publicly and privately on the app get to remain and keep behaving in a way that should be against the rules? 😭

Banned for talking about my own experience?
The app was fun, it was good to use to make joke posts, to vent, and to talk to strangers, but i made a post that was about my first semester in college and you guys temporarily banned me? For talking about MY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. I only did that to say that i felt uncomfortable. Banning me for that is absurd.

banning with no reason
I’ve always known of the app banning people without reason and it’s just happened to me, I emailed Twiq multiple times to ask why and if I did something to get me banned, then why did I receive no warning as it’s known that warnings can be issued. I have had no responses back with these emails, yet I was a paying customer.

ban abuse, terrible moderation
They’ll literally ban anyone anywhere from 1 week to 15 years. i was originally banned for 1 week but they extended it to 3 months after i posted this review. They abuse their mod privileges and send unprofessional emails trying to blackmail you into buying my their premium/vip features in order to get unbanned. They’ll also try negotiating with you saying that they’ll consider unbanning you if you get other users to delete their one star reviews. i was banned and immediately sent an email saying “sorry for banning you but you can’t make posts about other users that have been banned”

gone messages, accounts and history of previous years
very unfair what they did.. i told them multiple times to fix it but they didn’t. all of my messages gone, both the other users and mine.. whole of chatbox and history. can’t find any accounts of previous years and recent ones that i wanted to reach out but.. all of the accounts and message of year 2024 and 2025 are gone.

Constant ads. People brigade reports and will get people banned maliciously. Its a barely maintained app full of predators anyway.

Most of the people on here are asking for explicit pictures. I’ve personally been threatened when I said no to this request. I’ve reported it and have contacted the police. I’ve gotten no notice or news back. This app is scary and I would warn anyone and everyone to stay away. No matter what age. (Also there’s a way to save photos on here… even if it “disappears”) please stay safe.
