Works great
This app saved me a huge headache!
Tedious, inaccurate
Response from developer
Hi CAG_1337, We have added a lot of features since version 1.02 to assist with the positioning of the hands and would love to hear what you think of the app today. You may also find it helpful to note that it is important to capture successive Snapshots at least 24 hours apart. Snapshots that are taken less than a day apart will multiply any errors due to parallax, beat rate, and/or hand position. The purpose of the Timeline lock, which can be enabled or disabled in Settings, is to guard against such errors. For the most accurate results, it is best to wait 24 hours before adding a new Snapshot to a Timeline. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel most welcome to reach out via email, at twixt@coldflower.com UPDATE: Thank you for taking the time to repost the review that you wrote back in 2013. I can only begin to imagine how frustrated you must feel. I would love to help you get the most out of Twixt Time and would be happy to investigate why you encountered the results that you did. As before, please feel most welcome to reach out to twixt@coldflower.com for support. Mention that you are CAG_1337 and I will attend to you personally, so that you do not need to articulate again anything that you have already here. Thank you for your passion for horology and precision. I admire it.
Great App for Watch People
Cannot Rename, Cannot Delete, No Cloud Sync
Response from developer
Dear BlackRed12, I am happy to let you know that the latest versions of Twixt Time support the ability to rename Timelines and delete individual Snapshots. Both features can be accessed through the "Edit" button in the top bar when viewing the details of a Timeline. If you have any questions or require additional support, please feel most welcome to reach out via email, at twixt@coldflower.com
Don’t bother.
It turns out you have to manually set the positions of the hands each time. What’s more if it’s in a mid way point it struggles to discern which minute you mean.
I also had hoped that it would be automatic and recognise each hand. It doesn’t. There’s nothing automatic about it.
Basically there’s far better apps out there like WatchTracker that do it for less.
Response from developer
To safeguard against any inaccuracies or incongruities in the data input, Twixt Time enforces the precise alignment of the minute relative to the position of the second hand and the position of the hour hand relative to the minute hand. It sounds like the hands of your timepiece are not correctly aligned. In order to provide the most accurate results possible, it is important that the second hand and minute hand are correctly synchronized with one another. For example, when the minute hand is pointing directly at a minute index, the second hand should be pointing directly to the top of its dial (indicating 0 seconds). If you continue to encounter any difficulty using the app, please feel most welcome to reach out via email, at twixt@coldflower.com, and we will do our utmost to help.
Always says 12+ hrs even if it’s only a few seconds
Response from developer
Hi Pittsburgh J, If you are capturing successive Snapshots just seconds apart, any errors due to parallax, beat rate, and/or hand position will be multiplied. The purpose of the Timeline lock, which can be enabled or disabled in Settings, is to guard against such errors. For the most accurate results, it is best to wait 24 hours before adding a new Snapshot to a Timeline. Latest version back to running as expected
Plutôt bien fait
Je ne sais pas si c’est très précis mais la précision est facile à vérifier.
Used to be perfect, now it crashes constantly.
Update September 23,2017:
App now crashes every time you try to resize a picture. You take the pic, app blows it way out of proportion (to the point it's nearly unusable), you zoom out to try and navigate m, and the damned thing crashes STILL!
Developer is cruel and uncaring, refuses to fix.
Response from developer
Hi ExDroidUser, If you are continuing to encounter crashes, please get in touch at twixt@coldflower.com so we can get to the bottom of this for you.
It's great!
I had some initial technical difficulties and reached out to the dev team. They were very responsive. I've been able to get it working properly and think it's great. Exactly what I was hoping for!
I'm enjoying the App but I'm even more impressed by their customer service.
Thanks!
Excellent
Buggy
Unstable; poorly designed and overpriced
Very nice!!
Absolutely terrible
And you need to be incredibly accurate and consistent on where you drop the markers or of course it's all inaccurate and wrong.
I can't see the point of this.
I'd hoped all I would have to do is take a photo and have my watches measured and tracked for accuracy.
This is basically a camera app so save your money and just use one of the many websites that do the same thing.
So yeah, I blew my cash on this so please save yours!
Works well, but 3 stars only because they quit updating Kello
Great idea if it worked
Surprisingly effective
The app itself is clean and easy to use. I didn't expect it from just photographs of the watch face but the accuracy is impressive: it matched the Omega service center's measurement exactly.
