Disappointing

I’m pretty frustrated. I even emailed the developer and talked to him a bit to voice my concerns. It should not cost 4 points to create every story and to also just do anything in a story. I’m not even playing stories anymore because it’s not fun anymore because of the points. I’m just creating them, but am not doing as much due to the points system. Please just listen to the players. We’re tired of having to spend points that limits our creativity and freedom. World building is supposed to be about free will. It’s not supposed to feel like a prison. I get maybe utilizing points for like extra stuff and exclusive items etc, but it’s way too much when you’re just trying to relax and play or create.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback—and for creating with Twizl for so long. We’re sorry per-interaction Spark costs have made your worlds feel inaccessible. Please email contact@twizl.com so we can dig in and address it.

Paid

You’re the reason why people are no longer on your app. You’re the reason that blind people are not playing your app. I can't even create another story because i got to pay money. people don't got money like that.

Response from developer

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. We hear you that Twizl’s pricing and interaction limits are especially disappointing when it’s one of the few accessible story games for blind players. We appreciate the suggestion of separate free and paid experiences.

Fun App

I love watching my ideas come to life. The editor is awesome.

Have to pay?

One star for having to pay!!!

Please reconsider

I have used Twizl for over a year now and have created hundreds of stories. It used to be this magical world building app where you could feel free to create anything. Now, it feels like a prison. It is honestly heartbreaking and disappointing that it costs players 4 points to chose the character that they want to play in their own story. That isn’t all though. Players have to spend 4 points of everything they say and do in a story. There’s no free play or a chance to just relax and wind down. It’s “well sorry you have to spend all your points or you can’t play a story”. It’s not only bad business management, but it’s unethical in my viewpoint as well. Players often spend hours trying to create their perfect dream worlds and for them to not be able to enjoy it is just wrong. I’m begging you. Please reconsider this and really think about it. People are suffering because of this.

Disappointing

I will continue speaking up for users until this point system is changed. Four points to create a story was already unreasonable, but raising it to twelve points is extremely excessive and feels greedy. This update makes the app frustrating to use, and I will rarely create stories now unless this is fixed. It also costs four points just to make choices or even select a character, which makes the app almost unusable. I’ve tried to be patient, but I’m genuinely disappointed. If this continues, I’ll be creating my stories on other platforms that don’t charge for basic actions.

Price plans make it not worth it!

I just signed up for the app when it was switched to the name Twizl. I love it, but your subscription model is absolutely horrible. Paying the various prices then having to wait for almost a month to play again, not cool!!! Unacceptable!!! Do better!!!

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. We’re sorry the plan pricing and monthly Sparks make Twizl feel not worth it, especially after you’ve paid. Please email contact@twizl.com so we can dig in further and address it.

Shame about the subscription

It’s a shame about how bad the value for money is on the subscription because it’s a good app. Just £10 a month for only 4 credits a day when videos can cost 50 is atrocious I’m afraid.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. We’re sorry the subscription and video Spark costs feel like poor value. Please email contact@twizl.com so we can dig in and better understand what would feel fair.

Game changer

If done right this can be something big

Response from developer

Thank you! We’re excited by Twizl’s potential too, and we appreciate the encouragement. :)

Love this app, but I have a few suggestions

First and foremost, I have been playing this game for a while, and I truly understand the need for a subscription given the compute required to generate video and other stories. However, as a suggestion, if possible, could we have a way to have immersive soundscapes and other audio for visual novels besides the music? Currently only videos can generate sound effects. Not sure how this would work, but I believe this would require less cost than generating video, and would add another layer of immersion for blind players. Overall, great app and keep up the great work. Thank you in advance.

Response from developer

Thank you for the thoughtful suggestion! Immersive soundscapes for visual novels—especially for blind players—are a wonderful idea, and we appreciate you sharing it.

App was good but changed today I saw it become paid subscription came back here

That’s why I unable to pay it because many apps had subscription like Netflix but could pay bills also rent or groceries

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback! We’re sorry the subscription price makes Twizl difficult to access alongside everyday expenses. We're exploring options to make the app more accessible. Please email contact@twizl.com if you have ideas or any other feedback.

Too expensive

Hot flaming garbage too expensive they force you to pay nearly 200$ for stupid sparks just to use the app and please tell me who in the blank has nearly 200$ to just throw away in this economy and there’s no ability to just watch adds for free time for free users it’s a hot flaming dumpster fire, I personally know the devs and they’re not good people a bunch of A holes

Beyond disappointing

I’m beyond frustrated at this point. I’ve created over hundreds of ai stories and spend a significant amount of time just thinking of what I want my story to be about and then setting up the world and characters etc. I’m really trying to give this app a chance and have been for months now, but it’s getting ridiculous. It’s like I’m being punished for playing my own stories. It costs players 4 points to not only start the story but to say or do anything in the story. It even costs 4 points to play as your chosen character. People have lives and are not just made out of money. We just want to relax and enjoy the stories that the community has created without feeling like we’re being punished for it. This used to feel like a safe and creative haven, but it now feels like a desperate money grab and has lost it’s magic. Apps such as Character AI and others let you create an unlimited amount of stories and also do not limit your interactions whatsoever. It’s beyond stressful and annoying not only as a devoted creator but as a player who just wants to have creative freedom.

This app is awesome. I love it.

Dear PLAICIN, I wanted to let you know that I'm really enjoying the app. $24 a month isn't bad. I'm glad I can claim free sparks daily, and that actually helps me create. I'm happy to pay the $24 a month. I wish there were an unlimited version for that much, but it's OK. I love creating worlds and working with the AI assistant as well. The AI assistant is very helpful. I love the different voices that are used for the characters. I sometimes have to correct the AI assistant, but that's OK. I'm glad that you're updating the platform. I do wonder, why did you change the name to TWIZL? Just curious. Was it something you wanted to do, or was it something you had to do? Just curious. By the way, I like the fact that I can go in and take a look at how many sparks I have left. I like the fact that I can create stories on a whim and not worry about the story ending and not being able to continue. I'm glad to continue button was re-introduced. I would have to remix the world to continue or continue the story rather, but now I can continue the story with no problems. Just wanted to say hello, and let you know that I really enjoy enjoying the app. God bless you all, and may the force be with you. however, there is a slight problem. When I go to claim my four free sparks daily, I can't. I don't know why. I think it's a bug in the voice part of the app. It is voiceover, Accessible, but the sparks are not able to be claimed. Other users are having problems too. Please look into this. Thanks. recently, I have found some glitches with the voices for the characters. Sometimes, Asian voices will be used when they shouldn't be Indian voices will be used when they shouldn't be, but I like one particular Indian voice, and she fits a doctor character that I have in one of my stories. Several of my stories in fact. Her name is Dr. Crane and she has a daughter Amara and they are both from India. However, there are characters in one of my stories that I want to have a British accent but use an American voice because the British accents cannot be found. There seems to be a glitch in the voices somewhere the Swedish voice that I chose for one of the characters Anakin Skywalker's mom SHMI is sticking, but some of the other characters aren't please fix this glitch.

Thanks for the thoughtful review and for supporting Twizl! We’re glad you’re enjoying world creation, the AI assistant, voices, and daily Sparks. Plaicin became Twizl as part of the app’s evolution. Stars

Im having issues with the app every time i want to want to play a new story i need stars and you have to pay i don't wanna pay make this free i want to enjoy it not pay make updates

Great app and potential but needs improvement

I am going to start off by saying that absolutely adore this app and believe it has amazing potential. It is honestly the coolest AI app I’ve ever come across for world building. It’s not only super fun and immersive, but it’s also realistic and visually stunning. I have created over probably 300 stories now because of how much I love it and adore world building. However, I have a few complaints. There’s what I’m assuming is a game bug right now which is not allowing me to create characters, locations, and items. It’ll act like it’s creating something, but then it won’t be created. It started out just on my phone but then moved on over to my older iPad. Both devices work perfectly, so I’m fairly certain this is a server issues. The only other complaint I have is that you have to watch ads for every single thing you say or do in a story. I get it more for the story creations, but sometimes I really just want to relax and immerse myself in the story world. I can’t really do that and don’t find it relaxing.

Story generation glitch/Not generating/Blank (FREE USER HERE)

I’m confused rn since I tried to generate a story like 5 times lately and each time it’s not playing for me, am I missing something here?

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. We’re sorry your stories were generating blank and would not play. Please email contact@twizl.com with details about the worlds you tried so we can dig in and address it.
