About
The chain for every card.
Card theft is a weekly problem in this hobby. Mail intercepts, table swipes at shows, "buyer claims it never arrived" insurance fraud — collectors lose hundreds of dollars a month and recover almost none of it. Card Shop changes that.
Three ways every card in your collection gets a permanent identity:
• QR sticker — Apply a vinyl Card Shop sticker to any card. Even a base common is now traceable. Every scan, transfer, and ownership change is logged forever.
• Serial number — Numbered parallels (07/99, 1/1, etc.) are universally unique without modifying the card. Card Shop reads the serial via AI scan and ties it to your account.
• PSA / BGS cert — Slabbed cards have an immutable cert number. Card Shop verifies it against PSA and Beckett directly.
If any card you own surfaces somewhere it shouldn't, the next person who scans it sees that it's flagged stolen — and you get a notification with where it was scanned.
WHAT ELSE CARD SHOP DOES
• AI scan — Photograph the back of any card. Identifies player, year, set, parallel, and card number in seconds.
• Trade Board — Post a card to your trade groups, your local groups, or publicly. Get private offers; nobody sees what others are bidding.
• Show Floor — Going to a show? Tell your followers your table number and what you brought. They walk straight to you.
• Local card shops — See what your local card shops are charging for sealed boxes near you. Real prices, crowdsourced, not sticker prices.
• Permanent ownership log — Every transfer is signed and timestamped. If a dispute ever happens, the chain of custody is documented.
