Scroll not working
Text screen does not scroll properly so after typing a few lines you cannot see what you are doing.
Straight forward
No one has (yet) ported vi(m) from Unix to iPadOS but I need something to open source code and data files while I wait for this to happen! (hint, hint!)
I find that txt.edit does the job as a straight forward simple text editor which avoids many of the annoying additional/unnecessary “features” of its competitors whilst providing the flexibility they do not. The developer provides excellent support, responding to bug reports very quickly. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Beauty in simplicity
I wanted a deadly simple text editor for opening any text format file on my iphone. txt.edit does that beautifully.
It's OK, needs UI tweaks
Akin to a stereotypical "Swiss army knife" in that it tries to be so much more than a simple text editor that it's confusing to use.

Otherwise the app is really nice,fast and does what you expect from a decent text editor.

A simple text editor that’s integrated with the files app that doesn’t want to charge me a monthly fee to use, plus it’s GORGEOUS! Well worth the money!

Excellent app
A fantastic text editor. Clean interface, easy to use, great features and simple operation. An unfussy app that does its job without distraction. Worth it at twice the price, and a steal at current cost.
Great, simple app with a responsive developer
The app is simple and nails its purpose (which is refreshing!) I had a couple suggestions / noticed a small bug which I emailed to the developer. He responded promptly and had already fixed or planned fixes for several of the issues.

Really impressed with how easy this is to use. I love the interface and the syntax highlighting. Great app!
