love the simplicity!

looove how this looks on my desktop. it's perfect for those who want a to do list, but with none of the extra stuff the other apps provide.

one thing I do want to suggest is the option to delete some tasks as I found I couldn't? otherwise, this app is perfect :-)

Distraction-free, actual to do list app

Txtodo is a simple, clean to do list app. It fits my needs perfectly.

The app itself, unlike so many to do list apps, is not a distraction. It is free of menus and colors. It is visually quiet and calm. It doesn't beep at me. It doesn't push notifications. It does not ask me to review it. I also didn't have to spend time learning how to use txtodo.

The one feature I found myself wanting after using txtodo for a week is a historical log of past to dos.

I am grateful to the developer for not collecting data.

Simple und helpful

This is the perfect addition to the build in calandra and reminders ecosystem. I use them a lot but you can lose track and end up with to much todo lists and items. Txtodo is Perfect for ideas and stuff, you donโ€™t want to forget and get done quick or soon. The desktop client is also a helpful app.

Nice idea, small UI annoyances

I find the exclamation marks for urgency unnecessary. The obstruct half of the text field. Also, it would be a smoother experience if pressing Return would accept the current task and would take me to writing a new one.

But interesting idea nevertheless!

Response from developer

Update #1: Editing the text and priority is now separate, as of version 1.5.13. The improvement to adding tasks is coming soon. A fix is in the works for both of these! In the new patch, editing the text and priority are split into two modes (activated by double-clicking on the task text and priority respectively). Additionally, pressing Return while creating a new task will add the task and then move straight to creating a new one. Iโ€™ll update this comment when the patch is released. As always, thanks for the feedback! Sincerely, FIGBERT txtodo@figbert.com
