Disappointed

I’ve been looking for an app that matched people based on personality profiles so when I found this I was super excited but it’s proven to be really buggy and I really didn’t agree with the final profile after I’d taken the evaluation. I usually do but it just didn’t feel right to me.

Can’t get past the initial picture setting.

Can’t get past the initial picture setting when trying to upload a picture for starting the quiz. No matter what it says it can’t save picture.

“Sorry we could not save image #0. Please try again. Tried this for all the slots for pictures. Same error.

Nope.

It wouldn’t even let me set up a profile and add pictures but wouldn’t let me proceed without a picture. Also, the questionnaire was not thorough.

so many bugs it's totally unusable

Mostly great concept, but needs a lot of work before it's worth getting.

I downloaded it because it uses the Big 5 model, and then I was forced to take a MBTI test, which of course doesn't work as well for statistics (disappointing, since this whole concept is built on statistical reliability). Afterwards I was able to take the big 5 test and include that, so that's cool. I'm not sure how the algorithms weight each personality indicator. Would be cool if you could choose between them in preferences or weight the significance of them (perhaps on a slider?) in the filtering preferences.

But the real issue is not with their approach, but with the buggy software. For a start, it said I'm 53 on my profile when I indicated that I'm 28. But more importantly I couldnt swipe on anyone. The only button that even works on the main part of the app is the button that takes you to the filter preferences. There's no way to match with people or even dismiss them. You get to see one profile and then you're stuck looking at that one profile with no way toove forward. Fatal problem; renders the app usrlsss.

I hope they fix this, but it's been 10mo since the last software update so I'm not holding my breath.

Btw I'm using iOS 16.1.1. maybe it works on Android or something, idk.

I’m a programmer. I can confidently say this was app was implemented by baboons. No excuses for the terribleness.

Nonfunctional App

App isn’t useable

I’d like to use this app, but it’s buggy. I couldn’t create a username and password, so had to sign up with my appleID. I can’t change the date of birth and my profile photo won’t upload.

Great idea, can’t use

Loved the idea but it set my age to 30 years above what it should be and I can like or dislike anyone so it’s just stuck on 1 profile.
Update: they seem to be responsive so will give it a try again soon

Riddled with bugs

Clunky and difficult to use. No way to update profile stats, like age. Often can’t leave a page, so need to quit the app and reopen. And the quiz in the beginning is just sort of… bad. I’m an INFP through and through, and it typed me first as an ESFP, and then an INTP. Deleted the app

Hello! We're working on fixing those bugs right now. Thanks for reporting them. We're going to be changing the test soon to the most accurate one out there. But in the mean time we do allow people to change their type through a drop down. Hope this helps.

Would be a nice app if it worked :(

After taking the personality test, uploading my photos, and entering my age/preferences - my age showed up as 52 (I’m 31) and it only showed me women (I’m only interested in men). I kept trying to re-launch, update, and even sign up again after deleting my account, but I kept encountering the same issue each time. I’m running the latest version of iOS as well.

Great idea but no users

This idea of matching couples based on their personality is great, but there is not many people using this app. Also, a lot of profiles seem fake. This could be great if there were more users.

Hey there! Thanks for checking it out. We haven't purchased any fake users which is how apps get those. I think a lot of people have incomplete profiles and not good pictures though so that's something we're working to fix.

Awesome Concept

I’ve been looking for an app like this, but was underwhelmed by the other choices and other more hookup I oriented apps. Really like TypeMatch’s simplified personality test and great matching options.

Needs plenty improvement

The quizzes are inaccurate, and the User Interface is extremely disorganized. I’ve known my type for years from taking official MBTI tests, but there is no feature available for users to select their own type if they already know it.

Needs work

The concept is great but it’s not very user friendly. I wonder if it’s because I’m an iOS user. Sometimes I enter text into a box and there’s no way to click out so I can select save. I created an account and the first page it took me to was a blank profile page and it said you have zero matches. Instead of initially being prompted to create my profile. I had to find the profile button, click edit, and figure out where to fill in all the places I wanted to fill. Lots of people didn’t have pictures too. The idea is there but it needs work.

Update: there’s no option to include children (if you have kids, if you want kids, etc). And there’s no place where you can just free-write for yourself. It seems like you can only fill in the options the app gives you.

New download

Just downloaded the app and I’m trying to set up a profile, I can’t enter anything for age and it won’t let me continue. Frustrating. App deleted.

Couldn’t sign up

The directions for signing up weren’t clear, and it kept saying error or oops. It also required push notifications be turned on. But even when I turned them on, it still said error.

When I filtered results I had 0 matches

After saying my preferred distance, age, and compatibility I got a message that said “there are no matches please adjust your filters” - I changed the filters to almost the farthest distance, age range, and compatibility and still got the same. So my only options are people 15 years older than me from 1500 miles away. Too bad I can’t use this app. The concept is really good. Not enough people are using it so I can’t really make use of it.
