... but Adobe sign-in using Apple ID is not supported. A major flaw for me. And yes, I’m working as a typographer since 1996.
Little learning
The „learning typography“ part is highly overstressed. Defining typographic vocabulary is not „learning typography“. Not worth the money.
Five stars, ideal privacy policy
This app works as described and the developer chooses not to collect any personal data for themselves or their affiliates. After reading the single paragraph, I was so happy to read their policy I nearly cried.

Needs a french translation.
Largely a waste of money
OK for newbies I suppose, as it didn’t tell me anything that I didn’t already know. Tiny text, and paragraphs get truncated on a small screen (not all of us can afford iPhones with a large screen, even if our pockets were big enough). Only works with later iOS versions for no obvious reason, which stops me from using it on my old iPad. From which planet do the developers come?

Petites erreurs mais sinon parfait !
J’ai beaucoup aimé cette application et attends avec impatience d’autres activités semblables ! Petit inconvénient (même si je sais que cette app est déjà très bien), une traduction en français serait la bienvenue ! Aussi, la fin des phrases n’est pas présente et le partage familial n’a pas l’air de marcher : on m’a dit que c’était aussi disponible sur tablette, mais on m’indique qu’il faut repayer ! Je m’adresse surtout à Apple pour qu’ils puissent m’expliquer le problème. Bonne fin de journée !

Missing end of sentences
Interesting app so far but the experience is really not that great when half sentences have their ending cropped :/ (from the first section : the basic, at least)

Great but Buggy
I think the app is/can be really useful to learn about typography. However, when I am using the “Compare - Juxtapose” feature. The font colour is white on white, with no option to change the colour (using iPhone X)

Thank you for using Typography Insight! Could you please update the app and try again? Dark mode support has been added and it should fix white on white text issue which is caused by automatic dark mode switching on iOS 13.
Save your money
Very limited use - was intrigued from a Typography nerd standpoint but found little to use or learn from.
Disappointed
Download this today was happy to pay the small fee. However the Overlay and Juxtapose parts don’t work as they should.
When turning my iPhone X the screen graphics don’t tilt as they should and the touchable options overlay each other.
Are you in the process of fixing this if not I’ll rather have the small fee back and no app.

Great concept but current version is broken
I was super excited about this app, but a few issues I’m encountering:
- when I select fonts from system or typekit in either comparison on display modes the wrong fonts are coming up
- when displaying a font (in my case objektiv from typekit), the descenders were cut off. Cool idea, just buggy for me

Thank you for spending your time to share the issues! Could you please update and try? Font change issue in Type Inspector has been fixed and added dark mode support. For the descender cropping issue, I’ll work on the fix for the next version. Thanks!

Underwhelming
Honestly there’s a lot leas than I expected from this impulse buy. Maybe they’ll add to it in the future. Not much here that you cant learn in about 30 seconds of googling.
Excited for the future!
I’m a web/ graphic designer and have had an affinity for fonts and type for a while. Needless to say when I saw this app, I pretty much impulse bought almost immediately. This app has a lot of basic fact and tools, but it’s nothing I didn’t already know from my high school graphic design class when we spent like a day on fonts.
I’d love to see more in depth info on type, maybe some history, how each letter plays into one another. How is each letter designed and why does it take that form? I don’t know, maybe I’m blowing smoke because I don’t know type that well, but I’m excited to see what’s added in the future!
