Exclusion of Dubai mall
To scan a receipt you are required to choose the place of purchase from a list that is already provided by the App. It is very frustrating that one of the largest Emmar retail place is not included in the list. Why Dubai mall is not included??
Locked to four countries only!
This app can be used only by four nationalities. If you’re not a citizen of UAE, Turkey and two more irrelevant countries then you are SOL. Booked a stay at Beach Resort but with those exclusionary approach - it will be my first and last stay at your properties.

U By Emmar Loyalty
I don’t see much benefit from U by Emaar as I can’t utilize my points towards shops or hotel rooms, also very slow in calculating points, no newsletter or communication updates.

We were told of this app since we have a residence at the address Istanbul however when registering it only give 3 countries of residence as options so it doesn’t do anything for those outside these countries

Most receipts are rejected without reason.
You have to enter the amount and several other categories of information. It’s designed to make it difficult to earn points. Share application is much better and designed for customers.

This update isn’t working - I can’t scan my receipts and it keeps timing me out and logging me out - please fix - normally good ( I’m on iOS)

Unfortunately, you lose your status over time if you don’t use the card. The percentage discount assigned to each card has decreased, yet prices at venues have gone up.

Overall a polished app - needs improvement
This is a polished app but it needs improvements.
If you book a hotel through the app and then check out, the app should automatically register those points without the customer having to check with the hotel.
I made a hotel booking through the app checked in with the app but the hotel still required ID pictures and my u by emaar account wasn’t listed on my reservation (even though I did it through the app).
When I checked out I was told I’d get the points 24/72 hours later - a week went by nothing.
Had to manually call U by Emaar and give them my hotel details. All this should’ve been automatically done *in* the app!

Terrible rewards program , they keep reducing the rewards
Was originally a fan of the loyalty program , but they twice reduced the discounts and points ! First I got demoted from gold to silver for no reason. Then they reduced the F&b discount from 20% to 10%.
I invested so much money into growing my rewards and my status, only to be duped overnight . Several of my friends have the exact compliant. I wouldn’t recommend this loyalty program. Not only are the venues limited, the discounts are not competitive anymore and most importantly , drastically changing terms on long time members speaks volumes of how much they care about their customers . Good luck !
