No Connection with Parents

As a mother of an incoming university student, this app really failed me on first download. My daughter said their college at U of T was promoting this app but it doesn’t even seem like she can contact me with this app and contact campus police as well.

Then I looked at other universities’ apps. Why do they all look the same as this one? Doesn’t my daughter have different needs than someone in University of Florida or at Queen’s?
