It’s Ok but missing soo much
Update. Something seems off with the dice roll. Last 4 games I have had at best 1/3 the 6’s of my opponent.
Playing the CPU is a farce. Miraculously alway gets the correct number needed to get you or the roll gives you the only miner that screws you over.

Really need to sort out the amount of players running the time out to swerve being 8 pieced. Must be about 8 people now who just abandon the game to save their stats. Let me know how to post the screen shots of the players jumping ship.

Hi Anthony, I'm afraid that if you lost the 1000 points, it is you that timed out. Clearly you are having wifi issues which is disrupting your game. We can't control that unfortunately, but good connectivity is a pre-requisite in any online gaming app where two or more players are competing. I hope you can get it sorted and eventually rejoin and enjoy the game that many, many others are loving. If you have further issues, please drop us a line with screenshots to hello@uckers.com
One more thing
I’ve been informed that the above is factually incorrect. The global system still rewards those who just slog out (and have the time for) loads and loads of games as all but their top 10 games get deleted. Whatever the scoring system is, it’s (in my opinion) rubbish and needs an overhaul.

Thank you for the review Gaptooth Gypsy, but that isn't the way the scoring works. We DO have a ranking system and, for the Global League, only your top 10 games each week count. I really like the Global league which is getting me into so much Afro with the wife for the amount of time I spend on it

Oh Bodeen, you CAN undo moves! There is an 'undo' button at the bottom right of the screen. Additionally, your move is ONLY confirmed when you press the green tick. Try it out and if you are still having problems, drop us a line at hello@uckers.com and we'll help you out. We hope you'd reconsider your review score in light of this information 😊

Just a minor quibble but, for example, you throw a 2 and a 3, you should be able to move 2 then 3, or, 3 then 2, landing on a different square as the situation dictates. The game only allows a single move of 5.

Hi there, thank you for the review. Hope you enjoyed your G&T. With regards to your minor quibble - you CAN do as you suggest. If you are able to move the necessary pieces, you can move one piece 2 and another 3. I think what you are saying though is that you would like to move one piece 2 (or 3), take a piece, and then move the same piece the remaining number. Actually, you can do this too - it is a rule variation that is selectable and is known as the 'running hack'. All of these are available at no cost: Unlimited online games (1 at a time), Offline game play (1 per day), Choice of playing colours, Standard and tournament rules, Turn timer with 3 selectable limits, Chess timer with 5 selectable limits, Game statistics (basic), Avatar selection (96 to ,choose from) Game tutorial, Access to the Uckers Global League, Invite friends and block players, Ad free throughout the app. Subscriptions play a vital part in keeping the game as fresh and as available to the Uckers community. It also allows us to support armed forces family charities in their work through the donations we are able to make. For the Pro version, we have growing list of features which add to your enjoyment of the game. Thank you for your review - we really appreciate you sharing your feedback! Did you check the Standard rules that are the default selection when starting a game? You won't find any WAFU rules there (we've named 'WAFU' rules 'Tournament Rules' in the app) so we're scratching our heads as to why you think this is the case? Please do reach out to us at hello@uckers.com so we can understand what you mean. Aside from being free (with no ads), this version has a number of benefits over the previous one you mention, why not explore the feature-rich solutions we offer - not just rule variations, but also the additional game timers, Global League and player stats. We're really happy to receive constructive feedback, but we respectfully ask you to check your review for accuracy please.
Great game keeping RN tradition alive
No players
This app is very good, however I have been on it every day and testing it last few days, and each time I goto play online…. It never finds any players at all and it’s frustrating, even though looks like I am 391 on the LB without playing. So I don’t understand how we play online when can’t find anyone to play with.

Hi Cozy, thank you for your feedback. The auto match is very much dependent upon us reaching a critical mass of players for it to function well, though it does seem to be very popular around 7-9am and 7-9pm. That said, most players use the 'invite friends' function which provides you with a link to share by email or social media platforms. Try this, you'll easily get your games going with old shippers. If you'd like to join one of our WhatsApp groups where there are plenty of gamers looking to mix blobs and dish out 8-piecers, drop me an email at hello@uckers.com and I'll send you a link. Our next release (in about a week) will have the ability to add friends, search for player and invite them directly to games without the need for a link. You'll also be able to see who's online real time.

Constructive Criticism
1. When in a situation where a player would move any other piece to prevent getting a “mixy blob” behind the other players blob, thereby preventing the opportunity for a “six off” the auto bot readily mixes up.
2. When running for home to prevent an eight piece dicking, it never runs the nearest color i.e if a blue could be run home easily to score - it runs a green all the way around the board.
3. Even if moving a single piece would make more sense, if a double is thrown, any blob is advanced, even if that gives the advantage to the other player.
4. When a six is thrown, instead of “sixing” the blob on or near the opponent’s doorstep, the auto bot gets out a piece thereby enhancing the possibility of mixing up behind that blob.

Hi there, Thanks for your detailed review! Your feedback is really valuable. The issues you mentioned with the auto bot are noted and will help us improve the game. For a more challenging and authentic experience, try playing against real people. The game was launched only 3 months ago and, as we have reported on social media and our website, the auto-match function requires a critical mass of players before this will work effectively. However, the ability to send links to friends/old shipmates works perfectly - something that you appear to have missed. That said, the vast majority of games do get filled now with peak times being around 9am-11am and 7pm-9pm UK time. Additionally, as also reported on social media, we have very active Uckers Community with currently 5 WhatsApp groups playing round the clock, making friends and enjoying pre- and post-game banter. It's a great way to enjoy the game and apply the real Uckers rules you know well. We appreciate your support and hope you continue to enjoy Uckers! Best wishes Paul (Co-founder)
