What's New in UCLA Mobile

5.0.8

July 16, 2026

Bug fixes and performance enhancements.

User reviews

Sick of this

Very unintuitive design (do I really have to sign in with my login info just so I can sign in again with the same login info to do the COVID survey?) and doesn’t even allow you to sign in sometimes. This really ain’t pushing 🅿️

CRASHES EVERY TIME

This app is not functional enough to be fully depended on in the way UCLA is doing right now. I propose we stick to the website version for symptom monitors that are immediate, accurate, and more efficient.

I can’t eat in the dining halls unless the app works AND IT NEVER DOES. My last straw was Nov 30th when I stood outside trying to figure out and get help in front of B plate for 20 minutes and it still didn’t work :(

I’ll complete the survey only for the app to not refresh my status. I’ll sign out, re-download the app, and even sign in and out of the system. When I finally take it, it won’t refresh so I’m left with contradicting results of the accurate online screenshot saying I’m clear and the app with the photo saying I’m not clear.

I have a brand new iPhone connected to UCLA WEB, UCLA WI-FI, SECURE RES, ALL THE UCLA WIFIs, OR 5G with all bars full, yet it still doesn’t work. I know it’s not an issue on my end. The app is not developed enough.

Response from developer

Hello, can you please email us your UID at mobilizelabs@oit.ucla.edu so we can take a look? Currently there is a delay after taking the COVID-19 symptom monitoring survey before the mobile app can get the data. Please try waiting a minute or two before refreshing the clearance page. We will look into improving the speed and also adding a message that there is a current delay.

Preferred Name

Update 4.6.3 did the opposite of what it was supposed to; now legal instead of preferred names display when previously it was the opposite.

Response from developer

Hello, the preferred name issue has been fixed. Please update your mobile device.

Keeps giving me blank screen

Where can we submit that the iPhone app version isn’t working? For the last week it gets stuck and gives a blank screen where it should give me the option to submit to DuoMobile. It hasn’t worked for a week! I tried logging out, and that was worse bc it doesn’t let me log back in because it doesn’t provide the DuoMobile for the logging in process! So now if I do the survey on my desktop I can’t access the survey completion photo page through my cell. I tried downloading the app again and it still doesn’t work

Response from developer

Hello, unfortunately this is a DUO issue. To fix on your device, please navigate to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Content Restrictions > Web Content. Uncheck Limit Adult Websites to completely disable content restrictions. If you do not want to fully disable content restrictions, you can allow duosecurity.com within the Content Restrictions page on the iOS device. This will allow the Duo Prompt to display even if content restrictions are enabled.

Buggy garbage

It worked for a few weeks and now gets hung up on dual authentication. It’s so secure it’s unusable. 😂

I got laughable “support” from the developer. No need to reinstall.

Deleted and use Safari. It’s more reliable and more private.
