Justice for SloppyTip123
After I heard about the Sloppytip123 insident, I was flabbergasted at the audacity of such a person to do such a thing. Sloppytip123 has only been nice and kind their whole like and here is someone dragging them down over nothing. I hope they one day willl see themselves in SloppyTip123s shoes and know what its like to be a SloppyTip. They say “Waiter! Waiter! My steak is too juicy! My lobster is too Buttery! But did SloppyTip123 complain? No. To have such pride to think you can do such a thing to the SloppyTip family is unheard of. They say, “We are Chasing Utopia! Rising Above the Noise! We’ve seen it In A New Light!” but clearly they havnt. I hope something can be learned here, and someone can give justice to SloppyTip123, for we are only At The Threshhold for the justice that should be givin.

Took a great app, made it horrible
As a marching band student for many years, I’ve used plenty of apps for drill. Until recently, I’d been using the regular UDB app (orange), and it was pretty good, easy to use. I can’t even begin to express my disappointment with this app. The count-circle mechanism is awful, and several basic features are locked behind paywalls. Instead of easily being able to see the notes and measures that go with the drill you’re watching, you have to change over 2 pages, which ruins any sort of learning continuity. The counts are not even really timed either the movement of dots either. A bunch of new, flashy, and useless settings doesn’t make up for the basic lack of functionality this app now holds. Thank you for making the season of several marching bands twice as difficult.

Update to my original review
I originally hated this new UDB, but after using it for a little longer, it’s not too bad. The UI is a lot different and was confusing at first but now I actually like it over the old UDB. Overall the Arc version of UDB is way better than the Arc version of Beam and I don’t mind it.
New UI feels like a modernized downgrade
The old app had much bigger buttons and was much more intuitive, on top of the field area being much bigger due to the lack of a giant useless circle. Half the time I accidentally hit the middle button instead of the dial to swipe thru pages. I miss the ability to set my own dot as a dot and everyone else as a letter and I find the new UI very clunky.

My personal experience
So far it’s been working very well for me with no glitches and helps me learn drill pretty quickly. I am saying this as a freshman with not expierence with drill but this has definitely been a big helper in learning drill. But I am also a visual learner so this definitely helps a lot.
Good app but bug fixes needed
So I have the app and for the most part it works completely fine but as of right now my app won’t load in and it’s stuck in the loading screen
It’s not bad..
It’s not as great as the old UDB but it’s fine, the recent updates have pretty well fixed any app-ruining bugs but it still remains inferior to the old UDB.
The show all and open all features don’t work for me, Field notes are hard to draw when laggy, the layout is kinds confusing, and the app feels laggier.
Overall it’s not bad. But it could be better.

Regarding sloppytip123
Who is sloppytip123 and why is he mini tip in the app? This is not what I wanted with UDB I don’t want to be greeted by a sloppy tip every time I try to see my drill. Who knows maybe we’ll meet at a bar and sloppy tip will drive a funky ehh.
Play animation won’t work
I like the app and how it works but when I press the play triangle on the page it just switches to the counts and doesn’t play the actual music or the dots move
Good but fails to let me update drill
This is our first year using this app and it works really well but we got new drill for band and most people can see the updated drill but me and some others can’t update it and it’s real frustrating because the automatic update is on and I’ve tried to do it manually but nothing shows I really hope they fix this bug soon because I got drill to put down soon

Animation and Music error
For some reason whenever i click the play button to see where my dot moves or to hear the music nothing happpens it just stays in one page. Please fix this bug i really need it so i can continue marching my show please and thanks.

Every time mini tip opens the app he comes back to me slightly more degraded every time to the point he came back to me as a transgender horse
Eyesore for Drill Reading
The old app worked just fine. Everything is so dense on the screen even with small bands. I haven’t been able to figure out how to get both dots AND letter/number on the drill page at the same time. It is an over built app in the areas that doesn’t seem to be very beneficial to band programs compared to the old app.

Hi! It sounds like your drill writer can address the symbol/label issue you're talking about where they would put the section/number under each dot which is our preferred method of displaying the dot!
My son loves this app
Every time sloppytip123 junior uses this app he cries tears of joy ❤️🩹 and I couldn’t be prouder as a father 🥹
The event
After movement 2 a bug killed everyone’s phone battery. I was scared. Terrified one may say. The root cause. UDB. I don’t know what Arc is but man… it’s dangerous.
Annoying glitch
When I click the play button to see the drill move around, it just switches from page mode to count mode and the drill stays frozen? I looked all throughout the setting in the app and cannot find a solution. Because of this I cannot hear the shows music and I cannot see my dot move around the field.
