hey, 2.1.1 is here. this one is mostly about scrolling, remembering what you opened, and numbers doing their one job. • expanded entries, images, and revealed spoilers now remember your choices while you scroll away and back within the same feed. pull to refresh or switch sections to start fresh. you already tapped “continue reading.” that wasn’t a temporary opinion. • fixed cases where scrolling could give an entry another entry’s image or expanded state. also reduced repeated text and image layout work. spoiler animations now pause when they’re offscreen or the app is in the background. invisible confetti can take a break. • loading more content is more reliable across topics, profiles, messages, wishes, and other lists. fixed cases where a failed request could skip the next page, or an old request could interfere after you refreshed or changed filters. loading failures also get clearer retry options. • for you keeps the entries you’ve already loaded during your current session instead of removing earlier ones as you scroll further. going back to something you just read should not become an archaeological project. • refreshing your profile now updates the header counts and karma too. profile statistics handle tied rankings more consistently, and failed requests no longer pretend you have nothing to show. blocked users are also excluded from favorite author statistics. • notification search keeps different searches separate. marking activity as read updates it across those results, with fixes for repeated badge deductions. using a notification’s vote, favorite, or follow button also won’t replay that action just because you reopened the app. once was the instruction. • today and trending filters handle quick changes and saving failures better. an older saved selection should no longer overwrite the one you just picked. if saving fails, the app tells you. • announcements further down the list no longer wait through an increasingly dramatic entrance animation. they’re announcements, not award nominees. thanks for reporting the things that only happen after scrolling for ten minutes, changing a filter, and coming back. oddly specific is useful. keep it coming.
