I wish I could type in what I want to do, ie: message doctor … go to my doctors & choose the one I want to message & start writing. If it’s an emergency… you shouldn’t be messaging… you don’t need to clarify meds request/appt follow up … just give me the place where I start to write/email my doctor.
Also, scheduling an appointment is near impossible on the site/app. Give me an alphabetic list of their names with the ability to choose the first letter to par down the que. Or given me their specialty and let me choose from there. Don’t make me choose a location first …if need be, location can be a filter later.
I’ve tried desperately to schedule an appointment with a new endocrinologist last June when Dr Gordeski-Baskins left the UH. It took me hours to go through different endors, their background, reviews, places they serviced. I finally got the list down to 2. I scheduled with the first one, 6-7 months out (not unusual for that specialty). It was on my chart … cool … When it got closer to the appointment date, I checked my chart to be sure if the date & time & the stupid appointment was gone!! I didn’t cancel it & if someone from UH had, they should have called me! Now I can’t get in for another 6 months … and even at that, I have to call … which conflicts with my 7-4, M-F job. When I do call at my lunch period, it takes so long sometimes to have them get to you on the phone, my students are back from lunch or specials and it’s pretty unprofessional/personal to be discussing my health issues in front of the children .
I don’t understand why I can’t schedule an appointment … six months out or more with a specialist. Who in reality you see once or twice a year!
The scheduling part of the application is a pain in the neck!!
