MyChart
Very useful tool!

View Statement
In the past, I was able to view a detailed statement ( very easily) which also included the address to send payment to. Everyone doesn’t pay online; therefore the address should be included on the statement.
Charts
Epic is an amazing system!
Unreliable
Not very reliable. Often run into errors so the app isn’t working as it should. Can’t make appointments online for any of my drs. Can’t order any of my meds online. At least half the time, if not more, I end up having to call the dr offices anyway. The app is mostly annoying to me. The best things about it are that when it’s fully operational, I can see the summary and review of my appts; and it will put my appts directly into my calendar.

Contact
I love that I can message my providers instead of phoning. I also love that test results are quickly available.
Payment Issues
Do not use this app to make payments. I have made payments that have been deducted from my HSA, but UH claims that I never made payment. This has occurred multiple times.
Inconsistent, At times unusable
Cannot access my children’s records. Shown a notice that I need to confirm my identity… when I click the link it refreshes the same screen with no option to submit what’s needed to confirm my identity. Lots of bugs like this throughout which make it incredibly frustrating to use this app.
Still have not received my CT results
It has been 5 days and no results of my CT. UH used to get the results within 1 day. Today is Friday so I won’t see my results until Monday (if lucky).
Yyy
I just want to click my doctor and send a message but this makes this impossible
Useful
For the most part, the My Chart app has been quite useful. My only complaint is after linking Cleveland Clinic My Chart app through Epic to UH and vice versa, not all the information is available. We use the app to check appointments so we don’t book appointments on same date/time. Messages for one of us are not available at all. At our age we need to help each other and if the apps were more accurate, we could stay on top of our healthcare.

UH MyChart
The website/app is very cumbersome to navigate. A person has to go through several screens to get to where they want/need to be.
I wish I could type in what I want to do, ie: message doctor … go to my doctors & choose the one I want to message & start writing. If it’s an emergency… you shouldn’t be messaging… you don’t need to clarify meds request/appt follow up … just give me the place where I start to write/email my doctor.
Also, scheduling an appointment is near impossible on the site/app. Give me an alphabetic list of their names with the ability to choose the first letter to par down the que. Or given me their specialty and let me choose from there. Don’t make me choose a location first …if need be, location can be a filter later.
I’ve tried desperately to schedule an appointment with a new endocrinologist last June when Dr Gordeski-Baskins left the UH. It took me hours to go through different endors, their background, reviews, places they serviced. I finally got the list down to 2. I scheduled with the first one, 6-7 months out (not unusual for that specialty). It was on my chart … cool … When it got closer to the appointment date, I checked my chart to be sure if the date & time & the stupid appointment was gone!! I didn’t cancel it & if someone from UH had, they should have called me! Now I can’t get in for another 6 months … and even at that, I have to call … which conflicts with my 7-4, M-F job. When I do call at my lunch period, it takes so long sometimes to have them get to you on the phone, my students are back from lunch or specials and it’s pretty unprofessional/personal to be discussing my health issues in front of the children .
I don’t understand why I can’t schedule an appointment … six months out or more with a specialist. Who in reality you see once or twice a year!
The scheduling part of the application is a pain in the neck!!

Cannot find data from Cleveland Clinic or Metro Health
Ok for communications, but…
Decent enough to use to communicate with doctors and staff but lousy for overall health and vitals tracking: just a jumble of data; no information.
Eagerly waiting for this Epic instance to get linked to Apple Health

Where are my future appointments?
I just made A bunch of appointments and only one is showing!
messases useless
the message system is clownish. 48 hours for medical issues? should be SAME DAY. but some of mine have taken ONE YEAR for a response or never. i want the MD to respond not the receptionist
