Amazing!!

To be honest, this app is around 80% really close to audiometer tests I have been involved with health professionals. Of course we are missing a profound background about our listening skills, this app is absolutely good at it. Highly recommended

Mic disabled

I used this app several years ago. I just downloaded it to try it again and it said that the microphone was not turned on. Unfortunately when I went to the microphone set up on my iPhone uHear wasn’t trying to access my microphone so at this point I can’t use it

One of the most useful and oldest health app in ios

I first dowloaded this App 9 years ago when it was one of the pioneer apps for using smartphone for healthcare use-case applications. It has improved over the past 9 years... to accommodate newer hardware and more depth. Last week, I needed to test my 83 yr old Mom’s for hearing loss.. Also compared it with a clinical test in MiracleEar franchise.. apple-apple match and very professional result! kudos to Unitron and Dr. Don Hayes and Zeitguys for a great and easy to use interface!!!
I was able to use the test, upload to a great web based hearing aid e-commerce site and get the hearing aid delivered all in just 48 hrs..every other (called 4) Costco/Miracle ear shop could not give even an appointment for next 2 months !!!

Matched my ENT’s test results

Because of all of the ear problems I had as a child, I knew I would have issues with my hearing as I got older. I recently went to my ENT for a full hearing test. About a month later, I then used this app to test my hearing. The results were almost identical. I was very impressed with the results of my test.

Beware the AdWare

Displayed in the appstore as a response to "iPhone as a hearing aid" query - it is a hearing "test" (not "aid") app, gladly "offering" additional services, as other reviews accurately pointed out.
My hard of hearing mom says "thanks, but no thanks!"

This app nearly deafened me

Despite having earbud volume set to low the tones produced were way too loud! I had to shut down the app and still have ringing in my ears 10 minutes later!

ITS GREAT!!!!!!!

Really works!!! I can hear again!!!

fake

This app will provide you with results suggesting hearing loss in order to sell you more services or adds for "professionals".

Good for tracking hearing loss but not letting me save results lately

I've been using this app for a long time now. I have meniers disease so my hearing fluctuates a lot. I really like this app because it allows me to keep a record of my hearing that I can share with my audiologist at check ups. I'm not sure why but lately it won't let me save or see my results after the test. I hope this gets resolved soon because I really like this app and would like to continue using it.

Being a Mix Engineer I need this app.

I find this app to be the best when it comes to testing my hearing so I know how to compensate for frequencies I'm not hearing while mixing audio.

Extremely well designed but . . .

This app is extremely well designed and very informative. The test results are laid out so that they are completely understandable. The problem that I had was that I could not reproduce the same test results twice. In one test it indicated that I had a hearing loss in the right ear and in another test it said that my right ear was normal. This is despite the fact that I was using the same headset and environmental conditions etc.

Great app!

This app is very accurate. I used to have a mild hearing loss. But, I started to feel like I wasn't hearing as well as I used to. I used this app and the results were what I had suspected. It motivated me to head back to the audiologist and get a real test done. The app was right, my hearing had progressed to a mild to moderate loss. I would highly recommend this app!

Horrible

It's horrible I tried it already and I looked it up it's all fake information it just wants you to believe that you have a little hearing loss it said that my left ear had mild hearing loss but I took a professional hearing test at my doctor And both ears has perfect hearing. I'm mad and it's a waste of storege so have fun being deaf even though your not

Total awesome and very useful app

It's very easy to use and operates very well. Definitely a must for anyone who would like to have an idea how well they hear and perhaps if necessary get help or advice if needed. No regrets getting it and would recommended anyone to get it a must have.

This was a great hearing test app

This new update has ruined an excellent hearing test app. I have tracked my hearing loss with the previous version for 4 years. The hearing sensitivity results were spot on with professionally conducted audiograms. The new update added a great new user interface, but the hearing test is now unusable, A clicking sound is produced with the tones. I cannot hear frequencies well above 4k. At 6k even less at 8k sound is gone. However, the new test produces clicking noises at the start and stop of the tones. I can’t hear the high tones, but I hear the clicking. There also seems to be some false overtones that are produced with my problem frequencies. I’m not sure if I’m hearing anything or not…this makes the test all but unusable.
I have used the previous version for years with stellar results, so I don’t think it’s me, it’s the new version. Thankfully I have the old version on an old iPod. I will go back to using the iPod instead of my new iPhone.

Soooo Worth It!!!

Definitely worth the time. One request... Can you please fix the bug that causes for my iPhone to crash when I attempt to erase previous results. Thanks.

Doesn't play we'll on my phone

I have an iPhone 5s, and the app wouldn't let me get past the "adjust volume" section. If I adjusted using volume control the app crashed, if I tried to use the slider it wouldn't budge. Finally adjusted earphones outside app and got the tone part working by random tapping - says I have considerable loss - but can't get the other test to work at all. Very frustrating, and the support button here gives a 404 message. So nonexistent. Therefore, 1 star from me. It's a new phone, no reason for this experience.

No longer works

This app worked when I first got my iPad last autumn. But now I have the same problem another user reported. After setting the volume to 50%, the choice of headphone device remains grayed out, and I can't complete the hearing sensitivity test.

I just updated to the latest version of iOS six, and it makes no difference.

Great app! A simple suggestion for the developers

While taking the sensitivity test I closed my eyes to focus on the sound. It would have been nice to hear an auditory confirmation that my button presses were being registered and that the test was done.

Tinnitus

To person with ringing in their ear.

I've had high pitch hissing, ringing in my ears since 19. I'm 22 now.

It suuuucks!! I will have it for the rest of my life, a long with high frequency hearing loss and sound sensitivity.

I hear it 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year. High pitched ringing hissing and it's various tones.

Protect your dam hearing!!! Wear earplugs when going to loud concerts or fireworks and shooting guns.

Never wear In ear - ear buds. They are very bad for u and cause permanent hearing loss.

Please take it from me... You don't want to live with this noise in ur head all ur life. And I'm only 22 ;,(.

Protect ur hearing pleaseee !!!
