About
"I know the component I need — I just can't remember what it's called."
Uiland helps people new to UI design learn component names and, just as importantly, what each one is for.
■ Two mini-games
【Karuta】
Read what a component is used for, then grab the right card as fast as you can.
You learn the name and the purpose together, not the name on its own.
【Memory】
Flip cards to find matching pairs. The differences between similar components sink in as you play.
■ Play alone or with someone
・Play the CPU (Easy, Medium, Hard)
・Play a friend (Game Center)
・Play someone online
In online matches, your opponent sees your nickname and avatar. You can report or block players who misbehave.
■ Straight from HIG and Material Design
100 components drawn from Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and Google's Material Design 3 — the ones you actually reach for at work.
Karuta and Memory mix parts from both HIG and Material Design.
■ A reference you can come back to
Every part you meet is added to your Parts guide, with its name, description, what it's for, and a link to the official guidelines.
Filter by source or category, or search by name.
■ See what you're weak at
Accuracy, day streak, daily progress, results by source, and the parts you get wrong most often. The numbers tell you what to review next — and you can review your weakest parts in one go.
■ No account needed
No email, no password. Sign in to iCloud and your records follow you to a new device.
■ Who it's for
・People just starting out in UI design
・Anyone who struggles to remember component names
・Designers who want the vocabulary for work or job hunting
・Anyone who wants to study in short bursts
