What's New in Uintah Reach

1.4.0

September 1, 2026

A NEW LOOK, EVERY SCREEN Uintah Reach has been redrawn. There is artwork behind every screen now, cards sit on it like glass, and the whole app is set in one typeface instead of four. New launch screens for light and dark. The header is quieter too: your messages and your account, and nothing else. Alerts moved into Account, and the unread dot now rides on your profile picture. A DIRECTORY OF LOCAL BUSINESSES New in this version: plumbers, electricians, mechanics, hair, hauling — the trades and services the Basin actually runs on, gathered in one place. Free to list, and free to stay listed. Filter by town and it understands service areas, so a Vernal electrician who covers Roosevelt still turns up when you are looking from Roosevelt. Listing a business is the same short form as everything else. Opening hours are optional, because "we answer when we answer" is a real answer. Find it under More, or on the Home screen. Posting a service as a classified is retired — that was always the workaround for not having a directory. Service classifieds you have already posted still work exactly as before. RATE A FOOD TRUCK The stars are real now. Leave a rating and a few words, edit it later, or take it down. One review per truck, you will need to be signed in, and you cannot review your own truck. Ratings show up on the truck, on the food truck board, and on the home screen. POSTING IS A FEW SHORT SCREENS NOW Every form — classifieds, events, jobs, food trucks, businesses — used to be one long scroll that asked for everything at once and checked none of it until you hit Submit. Now it is a handful of screens with two to four questions each, and nothing runs longer than six. The first question is the one that decides the rest. Pick Free and you are never asked a price. Pick Garage Sale and you are never asked for a category. Steps that no longer apply to what you are posting are skipped, not shown empty. CHECK EVERYTHING BEFORE IT GOES UP The last screen is a summary of every answer you gave. Read it over, tap any section to go back and fix it, then submit once from there. That same summary is what opens when you edit a post. IT REMEMBERS WHERE YOU WERE Get interrupted halfway through a post and the app offers to pick it up where you left off the next time you open that form. It asks first — it will not fill anything in behind your back. Photos are not saved, and it tells you so rather than quietly leaving them out. MISTAKES LAND ON THE RIGHT SCREEN If something is missing or the server refuses it, the app takes you to the step that holds it instead of dropping you at the top of the form. THE BOARDS SAY MORE Events, classifieds, jobs, food trucks and businesses all open on a proper landing page now — how many of each kind there are, the categories worth tapping, and a few picks before the full list. Job cards show the pay. Food truck cards say when the truck is next open. FOOD TRUCKS • Each stop gets its own screen instead of stacking up on one • Choose the days you are open and the hours appear only for those days • Email, Facebook and Instagram can go on your listing from the app at last • Payment tags too — say what you take before anyone walks up • Opening hours like 9:00 are read correctly now; nine-to-five used to be rejected outright JOBS You can finally add an application link or a phone number from the app. VOICEOVER Each step announces itself as you move through — "Step 3 of 6, Where to find you". FIXES • Tapping OK after posting now leaves the form, instead of stepping back into the one you just sent • Editing a food truck can no longer wipe a menu the form failed to load • Clearing all of a truck's payment tags now actually clears them • A post that fails to load while editing says so, instead of showing an empty summary • General fixes and performance polish Thanks for using Uintah Reach.
