Uk weather Radar-live Maps

Always consistent in current useful information.Would sincerely recommend daily use.

Forecasts to rely on

Every morning I look at my UK Weather Radar and plan my day. It’s the most reliable weather forecast I know, I’m sure many people will rely on its accuracy just as I do. Thank you Weather Radar team.

Perfect for rain

This is the one app that shows a clear radar map for rain. It’s invaluable 😁

A good, reliable weather app

I have been using the phone app for a couple of years now and have found it to be very reliable in predicting weather conditions. My main pastime is walking outdoor with my camera, photographing birds, animals insects, flowers etc. I therefore prefer sunny conditions to get the best light for the camera. The app’s graphical data lets me know where the best weather will be and the length of time it will last. My only negative comment is that some of the terms used to summarise the weather for any particular day are often ambiguous. E.g “mostly cloudy” also means “sunny intervals”. Perhaps it would be an idea to have a simple bar graph showing the expected “sunshine to cloudy” ratio. That slight quibble aside, I would, and do, recommend the app to anyone who needs a reliable, easy to use weather app for their phone.

Best weather app for me!

Very easy to see and understand what is happening with the current and forthcoming weather … more importantly, perhaps, it is by far the most accurate.

Used to be good

Been using the app a few years now and it used be quite accurate and really useful. I don’t know what they’ve change but recently it’s been absolutely useless. Currently showing no rain for the rest of the day, while it’s absolutely pissing down. Getting this and vice versa most of the time now. Great shame.

Variable results from this app.

I wanted to find out what the green dotted lines on the pressure chart mean. No explanation within the app, and contacting “app support” results in a 403 forbidden error. Not very helpful.

What does the star top right do?

The summary here in App Store says “works on this iPad” It doesn’t. I can get historical information freely, but that isn’t a lot of use. The forecast sequence throws me out of the app after a day or so of rain or cloud cover. The only sequence that works is the pressure chart, so I can maybe get my own translation of the future, but I'd like to know about the green dotted lines.

Confusing time stamps

Logic dictates that 12pm comes after 11:59pm, but not according to this app. What you are calling 12am should be either 12pm or 0am. This gets really confusing when looking at the pressure charts, which only gives a prediction at 12am and 12pm. I don’t know whether you’re using the same non-sensible logic of the rain maps, or whether you have it right.

Uninspiring

Poor graphics and options frequently fail. No isobars at the moment, nor forecast rain. Would not recommend.

Magnification zoom

I can’t find away to zoom out to see synoptic chart overview of Atlantic and mainland-Europe

unable to zoom

unable to zoom - gets pixelated and zooms out once cursor is released.

Server unavailable

Very pleased with this app but for the past month it has failed to make contact with its server and is, therefore, no use at all currently.

Quick access to rain, cloud, and pressure

Rather unique in that it gives quick access to rain radar, rain forecast, satellite cloud cover, and pressure.

Surprisingly most weather apps don't seem to give a map with the isobars of pressure on them - this one does!

Forecast comes from major national models so is generally as reliable as you get and the display is fine.

Only problem I have with it is I cant get it to use the 24hr time format which is the selection I have in my iOS settings.

No more WeatherPro!!

Having being messed around so much by the new owners of the once brilliant WeatherPro app, I was looking desperately for a replacement. Then I found UKWeatherMaps which although a little less polished, is in fact the perfect alternative. No more pressure maps unless I pay for a costly subscription (I hate that). Maximum kudos to the developers here. A one-off payment gets you the whole app with no hidden extras at ridiculous fees. £3.99? Bargain! Thank you! 5 stars!

Update is a downgrade

Rain Forecast is less clear than in previous version - why not stick with the same colour key as the before?

Lee

Love it always spot on !!

Very unreliable of late

What’s gone wrong with your core mode?
Just not what we expected.

Graphics erratic

Erratic display of previous radar rain and forecast of late.

Update

Update 10/23 has meant graphics won’t load. Please fix! Used this app every day for several years as it’s generally so accurate, but now I can’t!

Deteriorated to an ad platform

What was once an excellent app has descended in to an annoying and extremely persistent ad platform. You will be lucky to get any weather information before the adverts kick in. Shameful !!
