SMF2 (MIDI Clip) files are a new format defined in MIDI 2.0, allowing MIDI 2.0 performance information to be exchanged with other DAWs. This means that loading legacy SMF files and saving them as SMF2 (MIDI Clip) files also makes it possible to convert SMF files to SMF2 (MIDI Clip) files. - Improved usability for playing, editing, and monitoring MIDI 2.0 messages.
