No audio—known issue for years never fixed
I wanted to do the baritone ukulele class. It this app has a problem with no audio for the videos. It’s clear from other comments that it has had the issue for years.
If ukelikethepros can’t maintain the app, what other basic stuff can’t they do correctly? This isn’t a free app we are talking about—these courses cost real money—so it’s a serious red flag that has ruled out using ukelikethepros at all.

My review
It’s overall a great app, but I went to practice today and the app wasn’t loading, I don’t know if it’s something on my end or if it’s something on the developers side.

It’s that simple none of the videos have audio and can’t get support from anyone

I got this app because I am a new ukulele player and wanted to learn how to play ukulele, this app had really great ratings. Then when I went onto the app, I watched the welcome video and then the first lesson was just about different types of ukuleles which was helpful, but then it wouldn’t let me go onto lesson two I tapped on it a bunch of times and it said restore purchase.

My favorite
Terry has been my favorite online instructor for learning ukulele since purchasing one a few months ago. I like his teaching style and content. I’ve played piano and bass guitar over the years and had my share of traditional lessons and his are as good or better than any traditional lessons I’ve paid for. This app is great for portable, on the go, practice and learning. One of the things that attracted me most to learning ukulele was the portability of the instrument itself so it only makes sense to have a resource for learning and practicing that is equally portable! Kudos, Terry! And Thank You!!

Easy to follow
I am a music teacher and I am starting a ukulele group this fall. I have been using the basic lessons to teach myself to play and will recommend this app to my kiddos.
Great uke app!
Terry’s instruction is top notch. Organized, systematic and thorough, but never dry. You will learn so much going through the lessons in this app! It’s easy to use and has great links to learn more with no monthly fees or annoying pop up advertisements. The one time 4.99 upgrade is totally worth it.

New Ukulele Player
I was looking for a good foundational course and found it! This is a great introduction to playing the ukulele. For me It’s the perfect blend of information from the basic elements of the instrument to an introduction of playing methods, rhythms, and reading music.
Perfect app for the Ukulele beginner
I just started playing ukulele in March and these beginner lessons really helped build my basic skills and comfort level!

Great App, but videos stopped working
Have really enjoyed this app. But it just stopped working. None of the videos work at all. Have reinstalled it. Checked for other issues (version iOS, memory etc) and tried using it on various devices. Same problem. Nothing helps. Contacted developer but haven’t heard back yet.
Beginner of 1 year
Pros: It's a great ap. It has a great variety of music from Country, Pop and even Christian. I'm able to entertain any family or friends because of the range of music. I love the tuner and strumming patterns you can practice to also.
Cons: My only complaint is that I paid for the full year and still got charged the greater fee and not the discounted rate. The software hiccups occasionally so it's not always smooth.
Sum it up. For what it is, it's a great ap.

A great bargain
We all rate apps for many purposes but the main question is; is this app worth the asking price? Well I paid 2.99 and it remains a bargain at twice this amount. This is not a complete course, but if you are an intermediate, or aspiring to reach the next goal after learning the rudiments, this app is ideal with a competent teacher. As a matter of fact, learning the "Blues Shuffle" alone is worth the price. Strumming staple rhythms is patiently explained. As a matter of fact, if you complete these lessons it will begin to show in your daily playing. This is truly a wonderful and well made application.

I've been looking for ages for a Uke app that teaches the things I want to learn, and I have finally found it! This app is simple and to the point. It starts out with the basic stuff, like how to strum etc., and then moves onto more complex things. It teaches really great songs, all the best songs in fact. What I really like is that it isn't limited to just Hawaiian Uke style songs, but teaches pop and blues stuff, as well as other styles. The instructor is clear and easy to follow, and the app itself is super easy to navigate. Five stars easy!
