Economy/reward confusion and explanation

On the Season Pass, don’t hit the Collect All button. If you do, it may look like you aren’t getting all of your rewards.

I thought it wasn’t giving me all of my gold, so I tested it by collecting rewards slowly, adding up what I should receive, and comparing it to what actually showed up. Sure enough, the gold I calculated from the individual rewards plus the gold from the loot boxes didn’t seem to match. It looked like I was missing about half of it.

However, I think what’s really happening is that the gold and other rewards you collect are being rolled into the loot box you open afterward. In other words, everything, including unopened loot boxes, gets consolidated together.

Other than that, Ultimate 8 Ball is really fun and addicting. The different cue balls and cue sticks provide a neat sense of progression. I also enjoy being able to customize the pool table and am looking forward to seeing what other customization options they may have planned.

The system of waiting for boxes to unlock before you can open them is pretty annoying. You also can’t realistically keep collecting the head-to-head rewards after four wins because it doesn’t make much sense to spend money just to open loot boxes a few hours early.

One feature I’d love to see is the ability to buy or unlock specific ball sets. Imagine being able to use a set themed around your favorite sports team or a particular style. For example, I have a pirate-themed table and room, so it would be awesome to have a matching pirate-themed ball set to complete the look.

The different play styles and tournaments also help keep the game fresh and replayable every day. Overall, I recommend it, especially since it is free to play for Arcade members.

DISCORD! And critique.

WE NEED A DISCORD SERVER! It would be genuinely awesome if we had a Discord server to chat about pool, socialize, and talk strategy!!!

As for gameplay, I notice that aiming is hard to be precise due to sudden angle changes. What I mean is that sometimes, when aiming, there are gaps in the adjustment angle when lining up shots, and the minimum aim speed is too high. I know this game is still kind of in its infancy compared to 8-ball pool, I can't wait to see more from y'all!!!

Response from developer

Hi Zachary, tfor the feedback. We actually do have a Discord (along with a FB Group) that you can find a link to in the app. Just tap on the People icon in the lower right of the bottom Nav Bar and then choose the Messages tab at the top.

Rules are not on point

You don’t have to call 8 ball at the end of the game. Very hard to just start playing game a lot going on on the interface Home Screen.

Response from developer

The rules are rolled out as players gain experience.

This shouldn’t be an Apple Arcade game

80% of their game requires you to agree to their TOS for data collection. Can’t even load a solo game, only been able to play the challenges unless I allow them to harvest my data. This shouldntt be allowed on a subscription based gaming platform.

Response from developer

You can play Practice matches if you are offline. Otherwise there are a lot of online features, and those require permission, but the choice is (always) yours.

Doesn’t Work

I’ve tried on an iPhone 16 Pro and an m5 IPad and it gets as far as the screen where you pick what you want to play, and I choose practice and it just hangs, same on both devices

Best Pool Game on the App Store!

This is genuinely everything that a billiards game should be. If I had more time I’d literally play it everyday! lol

I can’t play online

I can’t play online or any of the other modes even though I share my information it just says sorry it’s gonna be a lot this time and was switching back to single player mode

Season Pass and Privacy Issues

Didn’t we sign up for the Arcade so we don’t get milked by devs more concerned with pay to win transactions than they are with developing a good game? This is trash and Apple is devaluing Arcade by including it.

Friends

The game is great i love it but i cant figure out how to add friends cause i want to play my brother i dont know if anyone else has had this problem or if its just me but i cant figure out how to add my friends

Response from developer

There is a Friends icon on the bottom right of the main menu. You will need to be Friends with your brother in Game Center. Have fun! PS - Beating up on your brother in pool has gotta be worth 1 or 2 more stars... right?

AMAZING

idk how i’ve gone so long without knowing about this game. I HAVE NOT let a day go by without playing, i’m literally addicted. I make it my mission to complete all the events that consistently change on the left side of the screen asap and then go back to playing fastbreak, i’d rate this 10 stars if i could! ❤️‍🔥🎱❤️‍🔥

Ye

The game is amazing, but it can’t fill the whole screen when played in landscape mode on iPad. It only works full‑screen in portrait mode.

Add this please

I don’t like how you haft to pay for every time you play against someone and there is no free play mode or mode against bots. You should add a quick play game mode where you don’t haft to pay and add a game mode where you play a bot for practice.

Response from developer

Great feedback and we are actually planning to release an offline practice mode (very) soon... probably by next week. So keep those extra 3 Stars hands, because we want 'em. :-)

Addicting Game

This is an amazing game. The developer did a great job creating ways to keep it interesting. I like that we have the ability to update our cues and balls and tables and that our scenery changes as we continue to get more experience.

Need more offline play options

The game only gives one mode, challenges without rewards unless you go online. Rewards should not be gated behind a paywall.

Response from developer

There is actually no paywall in the game... as all Apple Arcade games are totally free. That said we do have a reward system in the game requires winning matches to earn better gear, but it's tuned to ensure all efforts are rewarded. In either case, we also have an offline practice mode coming in about a week that will allow you to just play against bot opponents... or just hit some balls around without any opponent. So be on the lookout.

No single player.

Was looking forward to this title. Disappointed the single player didn't carry over.

Response from developer

Single player offline mode is coming next week... because we want those other 4 Stares. :-)

Emotes?!

Loving the game so far, was wondering if we could get some emotes of some sort so we can recognize good shots, or nervous someone is about to win, gloat over complex shots we make.

Not a requirement just a suggestion from a daily player. Thanks for what we have so far, keep up the good work please.

Response from developer

Good idea. We actually have that in the Free-to-Play version so I'm sure we can bring that feature over.

Finally! A great pool game worthy of the Apple Arcade.

Best billiards in the arcade. Thanks Apple and HypGames. Great game.

Too many tryhards in the first level

Needs to be a cpu mode for people with jobs

Nicely Done

Really liking it so far. Looking forward to the addition of solo play for practice sessions.

Awful

This game makes no sense. Not realistic. Opponents have random cue balls that get switched out. Stay away!!

Response from developer

You earn cue balls by playing and they have different "assists" to help you visualize your shot. You can swap them whenever you want in a match.
