Looking for a replacement app now
I’m a paid subscriber to this app and I am constantly interrupted by aggressive ad walls every time I try and do anything. I will not renew my subscription. Very very very annoyed and disappointed by what’s happened to this previously excellent app. The owners of this app should be ashamed of themselves.

I hate this godforsaken app. There are FAR too many ads. Good luck trying to find any chords or tabs. There is a 99.9% chance you will be tricked into clicking on an ad, and even if you aren’t, you have to constantly exit out of them. You cannot access any tabs without paying as well. You are better off watching YouTube tutorials and writing your own tabs.

Incessant UGpro promotion
I literally didn’t even play anything or try out the service for the first 10 minutes of install. Endless surveys and prompts to pay for their pro service before I’ve even tried the app. Do you guys seriously expect anyone serious to pay before even trying your app? In the end I uninstalled. Not worth my time or yours.

Errors and omissions
I don’t understand why this app gets good reviews. Here are just a few of the bad things… 1) I set it to play acoustic guitar but the sound comes out like an electric harpsichord, despite me changing the volumes of the various instrument options. 2) The music it plays is not what is shown on the tab. There are extra chords and different notes. 3) The music it plays for songs I know well is very different indeed from how the artist plays it. I often have several different recordings of a song and the ug version isn’t like any of them . 4) when it tries to “optimise “ the app to suit your needs, the choices are very limited e.g. it doesn’t even have blues as a style option. Needless to say, I have cancelled my 7 day free trial.

Latest update no good
As others have said the latest update has all sorts of issues. I’m a pro subscriber but have just cancelled my subscription as I’m sick of all of the spam and upselling as soon as you open the App
Not for professional use
Despite paying for the app, you’ll get spammed with ads you can’t skip trying to sell you more in-app purchases, when trying to use the app that you’ve already paid for. Insufferable when needing a quick chart, and shows contempt for their paid users
Don’t bother if you’ve been playing for less than a few years
This is a detailed app with so much content but it’s so technically complicated - I went from practicing every single day using Yousician to maybe once a month because I found it too complicated for my little brain- it’s not worth it.

This makes the ‘original’ price look artificially inflated to make the discount seem bigger than it is. The deal is still okay value, but the misleading advertised savings feels dishonest.

Issues after update
Changing the pitch to match standard tuning (Lower tunings bring up) on songs has to be readjusted every time I reenter a song. After I have used that up - won’t change in further. I have to delete app and restart it to fix problem.

Aggressive and annoying push to pay
I have used ultimate guitar for years and have had a subscription for several years at this point, but I am incredibly fed up with the way UG pushes subscriptions or additional payments on all, including already paying, users! Every time I open the app I spend about 1 minute mindlessly answering market research questions about what I want out of the app (actual answer is easy access to chord charts) and then usually get pushed a sign up button at the end, even though I already have a subscription. Today I not only got the repeated questions and push to pay, but also had to “scratch to win” a discount rate which I also don’t need. The app is fine at it’s simplest form, and I am happy to pay what I do, but if UG continues to push annoying ads before checking the current status of the user I will not continue to support the product. It is infuriating, time wasting and treats existing users like garbage. Please fix this.

It’s not opening
The app doesnt want to open or load it is annoying me also i don’t wanna watch like two adds before even getting to the tabs or chords. Especially when I’m going through tabs trying to find the right one and I get an add every three seconds please fix the app so it opens

The app itself is alright when you can actually use it. Most of the time though it’s forcing premium plans down your throat

Edit Section headers
PLEASEEE make it so we can highlight the section herders (verse,chorus) lots of the tabs just bleed into one. Super confusing especially with dyslexia. Otherwise great app
