Ultmap is a location-based social network that allows users to connect with people and discover events in their vicinity while prioritizing privacy. It uses a map interface to show potential connections and points of interest.
Ultmap ensures privacy by not displaying exact real-time locations to third parties. Users have initial anonymity, with full names and direct interactions only revealed upon accepting an 'Approach Notification'.
Ultmap features four radars: 'Meeting Point' for busy locations, 'City' for a wider radius, 'Personal' for very close proximity, and 'Home & Work' for restricted, secure networks around these locations.
Ultmap requires facial biometric validation during registration to reduce fake profiles and ensure each profile represents a real person, fostering a more trustworthy environment for interactions.
The Premium subscription offers unlimited approach notifications, global use of the City Radar with 'Travel Mode', the ability to register multiple addresses for Home & Work Radar, and anonymous posts/messages in the City Feed.
Currently, Ultmap is only supported on iPhone devices. The app was released on 2026-06-13 and its latest version is 1.0.8, last updated on 2026-09-15.
Ultmap has an age rating of 4+, making it suitable for a wide range of users. The app is designed to be accessible and safe for younger audiences as well.
The app was last updated on 2026-09-15, indicating a commitment to ongoing development and improvements. Users can expect regular updates to enhance features and security.
