I seem to have destroyed the app by changing font

I picked the Helvética font and it crashed, and now it crashes when it starts too. I’m not sure how to fix it. I paid money for this app 😐

Disappointed,

Could not even find the word They in this dictionary, let alone a translation.

Very helpful

I really like this app. I cannot pretend to any great expertise in Latin dictionaries. But I like this one because it identifies words if you give any of the many forms of the word. Latin, of course, has endings which can multiply the forms to a bewildering number. And sometimes there are forms that are just unrecognizable by a humble student such as myself. I recently, for example came across the term "lautus erit" in Familia Romana chapter XXX. I could not figure it out. But this app got me to the future perfect passive form of the term for wash. I had puzzled over that for days before I finally broke down and consulted this app. It got me there in moments.

So I recommend it.

Pas top

Pas de détails ni déclinaisons, l'interface n'est pas si top que ça.

App crashes so many times

App it self is pretty good. The main problem is that it crashed each time certain entries are made. E.g. Latin to English: disp and English to Latin: tes. I cannot completely enter the word as the app crashes. At some points it also crashes when being scrolled down or up.

Low quality info, great logistics

Logistically this is a great app just like Ultralingua's other apps. As far as quality of information (amount and accuracy) this app needs a lot of work though. I am disappointed at the lack of accuracy in the translations for some words and at the fact that when I look up a noun or verb I do not see declension number or principle parts. Please update, I trust Ultralingua's apps to be of high quality.

Fantastic upgrade!

I just upgraded my Ultralingua Latin app, and I am blown away! This is wonderful. Easy to read, comprehensive, informative, showing word history (roots and origins in earlier languages), complete and accessible complete conjugations. I am really impressed. Thanks so much. LatinMom

No verb conjugations!

A pretty pointless Latin app as it only shows tables of verb conjugations in English, which unless you're a native Latin speaker trying to learn English is not very helpful. Considering it was so expensive I was extremely disappointed.

Useless

This dictionary is virtually useless. Clearly 3/4 of all Latin spoken is ecclesiastical Latin, and this dictionary is no help with even the most basic of Latin words. Ultralingua needs todo a much better job.

Ultralingua, where's the consistency?

I have several other Ultralingua apps that I find very useful. That having been said, why isn't this app formatted like those? No conjugations? I know Latin is a "dead" language, but there is still a lot to be learned from studying it. Conjugations would greatly help give this app another star or two, as well as help its users get more from it.

VERY POOR DICTIONARY :(

Just the basic basic words. Almost useless.

Do not buy this rubbish

I wasted my money on this. Whatever happened to truth in advertising?
No conjugation, inaccurate 'manual' for want of a better word.
The free aps are just as good.

Great!!!

Very handy dictionary.

Needs improvement.

If this app had verb conjugations it would be far more valuable. If you could also put on here a table for all 5 noun declensions, that would also be very helpful. Other than that this app is a quick and convenient way to get a definition, and if you are proficient with Latin you should be able to conjugate on your own. Also, the forms of irregular verbs should be added.

Pretty good

This is a nice dictionary to have for improving vocabulary and overall it's not that bad, but it would be great if there were a Pro Latin Dictionary with semantics, macrons, parts of speech, conjugations, phonetics, headwords in blue, vulgar and modern Latin, and sample sentences. Some definitions are incorrect, e.g. ''earthquake'' turns out ''terrae'' when it should be ''terrae motus.'' Also please add Japanese, Russian, Greek and other languages. Keep up the good work.

Extremely Disappointed

I very much wish I could get my money back. I obviously should have read the description more thoroughly before spending $15 on such a useless app. I thought it would be like other ultralingua dictionaries and actually conjugate verbs. And, the description did say that the program would recognize inflected verbs, which was a lie! DO NOT waste your money!

Ok dictionary but it's not enough!

If your looking for a basic latin to English dictionary then this is a good app, but it needs to include the conjugations and declintions. The conjugations and declintions are so important in Latin that this app will not be very helpful until it includes them.

I should have listened to the last review!

No better than the cheaper ones (which as also useless) will just have to carry my laptop and use Whitakers words which is superb (and free!) Avoid this piece of rubbish!

Mixed feelings

I really like the idea of this app and it does work, but it seems that there are many quite common words that are missing. If you search in the latin-to-english translator for a verb, you may not find it, due to missing conjugations in the dictionary. I have a church choir background and am interested in the meaning of the latin words we sing. Pacem, I believe, is a conjugation of pax (meaning peace), and yet I can't find pacem by searching. I can find pax, but not pacem. Overall it is a great idea and the app is well designed - I just think it needs a bigger database with more words and more conjugations so you don't have to figure out the root of the word before searching. At this point, I'm not sure that it is really worth $14.99. I still like what I can do with the app and look forward to updates.
