What's New in uMake

10.2.5

November 3, 2026

New in 10.2.5: • Chrome and other mirror-like materials no longer show black squares or dotted patterns around bright highlights. • The material you choose sets the finish of a texture from the library again, so White Plastic over wood has its sheen back. • Textured surfaces with a metal material no longer turn black when seen from the back, such as the outside of an open shell. • Edit Curve's Split and Add menu is easy to read in Dark Mode, with each option centered in its row. • The 3D editor's rotate arrows now follow the direction they turn, with a longer arc and a solid edge, so each one is easier to read. • On iPadOS 27.2, a Space's tools stay centered on the top bar, and resizing a Space with the side panel open no longer crashes. Welcome to uMake 10. • AI Design Partner: describe a design or give it a reference image, and it builds editable 3D on your canvas, floor plans included. • Live AI Preview: a photorealistic render beside your model that updates after each change. • Scene Studio: turn a picture into a short film, one change at a time. • Flows: AI cards tied to a picture. Change the picture, and one tap updates every result. • Precision, Pen and Freestyle: three new ways to draw in 3D. • Project Shape, Component, Mesh Editing, and a rebuilt Combine with a 3D preview. • A new Home: describe a project or pick a starting point like Room / Interior or Product Stage, and open on a starting scene instead of a blank canvas. • Spaces: layers and layer groups, Split into Layers with Make Whole, Save as Style and Presentation Set. • PBR materials and a revamped renderer with soft shadows. • iPhone Duo support, updated keyboard shortcuts and a new Help in 14 languages. • Tighter integration with Siri AI: open your Spaces and designs by name, and share photos to a Space from any app. • Bug fixes and improvements. Be a God! and create

I have been using uMake for well over a year now, along with the other key apps (zbrush, prisma3d, nomad sculpt). If I could have only one, uMake is the easy choice. Molding or sculpting isn’t needed if you can just curve line vertices. If you are not doing characters, everything is available and customizable to make it your own Mini-verse. Character work is still possible, but will still need to partner with another app for rigging and posing. The most recent updates have resolved any critiques I may have had. If you incorporate AI with your work, uMake has extensive features for modeling/texturing. Always great customer support.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, it really means a lot to us. Hearing that uMake is your pick after a year alongside ZBrush, Prisma3D and Nomad, and that the latest updates cleared up your earlier critiques, made our day. We're glad it's been so useful for building your own mini-verse, and thanks for the kind words about our support too.

this app is not free, nor does it have a free mode

you can’t do anything in this app, not even try it in a restricted setting, without agreeing to pay. they offer a 7 day free trial, sure, but after that will auto-charge you $120 USD. that’s absurd! if you want the monthly price, no free trial for you! just make the app cost something in the app store and don’t mislead people.

Pro or not pro

I purchased a Pro subscription, but it doesn’t allow me to use any of the elements I am paying for. When I tried to add a tree from the collection of assets that are available with my subscription, I got a prompter saying that I needed to upgrade to Pro in order to use the asset. I am already a Pro subscriber, but I still said yes to upgrade to Pro, to then get another prompter indicating that I already have a Pro subscription. This keeps happening and I cannot use fully the subscription I paid for.

This is single-handedly the worst thing that has ever happened to me.

You make your app free but then force people to use a free trial to use it? I shouldn’t have to sign into a free trial or any subscription for that matter. I downloaded this app because I thought it was free and wouldn’t bother me with things like subscriptions or free trials, jokes on me I guess. Please remove the free trial. And stop making the whole app unable to be used if we don’t wanna sign up for your subscription.
