this app is not usable, when trying to log in with gmail i get this error: You can’t sign in from this screen because this app doesn’t comply with Google’s secure browsers policy
Can’t login
This app is useless. I can never login. I’ve tried reinstalling it a couple of times. It just doesn’t want me to login.
Just use the website.
The app is just the website but worse. It's buggy, you can't access email OR blackboard through it, and it crashes half of the time. It would be really useful if I could easily check basic things like my campus card or profile information, some aspects of myumbc definitely doesn't translate well to mobile, but it's better to have good but limited functionality than a buggy mess that has no reason existing. Just use the website.

Just a website in a mobile wrapper
UMBC ‘23 freshman here. I had high hopes for this app. I’ve seen many great university apps, as well as many awful ones. Unfortunately, this is not one of the good ones.
This app serves no function that the myUMBC website can’t do by itself. The navigation is less intuitive, and the pages often load slower than they do in Safari. I’d really love to see a legitimate mobile app, and I think it could have a lot of potential. It needs a full redesign and rebuild from the ground up using a native app platform, rather than a website in a mobile wrapper. Two stars because it “works” (even though it’s useless).

Limited functionality
The app does not allow access to blackboard or email. You able to see if you have email, but will not be able to open or send messages.
Lately won't open certain things
Lately the app has completely stopped letting me access some applications. I have been using other apps to preform these tasks or logging into my umbc through my safari. I believe that this somewhat ruins the app because it is supposed to allow easy access to my umbc on the go. Before this, in the past, I was having some troubles logging using the pin and fingerprint scanner and issues fully loading some applications that are now completely blocked off.

App is unusable, goes to black screen like a flickering lightbulb
I set up fingerprint recognition in the app when prompted, and now when I try to use it it just cycles between a black screen and the fingerprint input. It won’t let me get in or do anything. Do you not beta test updates before they go live?
Will not open
When I click on the app it shows up like it is going to open and then it shuts down.
Crashing
There is a bug where the app crashes when you open it so you never get pass the login screen. Tried shutting off FaceID but when it gives me the prompt to put in pin, it force closes.

the app doesn't even start. it just immediately crashes no matter what phone i attempt to launch it on. please improve that app because, it'd be much more convenient than constantly logging in online.
App basically freezes with “Logging in.... “
This app has potential and would beneficial to those who don’t want to pull out their laptop every time they want to check their account, but the app takes forever to log you in. The fingerprint authentication pops up immediately but then you just get a message saying “Logging in...” BUT IT NEVER DOES. No I do not have an older iPhone, and yes I am on the lates software update.

the app used to be amazing & now it never loads. i'm literally on the log in page for 10+ minutes, and it just stays buffering. i haven't been able to use it for months and i've updated it.

Fantastic app for ios8
This is an amazing resource for student at UMBC. I personally use it and love it. However since my system update to ios9, I have continuous issues with this app. More recently it hangs and crashes immediately upon opening the application. Please advise this bug. I really miss using this great resource.

Doesn't work anymore
Whenever I use this app on my phone now, all it shows is the white UMBC screen. Please fix it.
Never opens
I loved this app but now it won't open. It just displays the start up screen for a long while and then crashes. Please fix, this app was so helpful.
