About

Built for the rare few who chase totality. Umbra Nomads is an observational logging tool for solar eclipse chasers. During those few seconds before and after totality, capture what you see — shadow bands rippling across the ground, Baily's Beads, the diamond ring, corona flares, chromosphere bursts and temperature drops. Log each sighting with its phase, from C2 through C3, the surface you observed it on, visibility quality, GPS location and your own field notes. The Totality Pulse screen lets you drag a live -60s → 0 → +60s timeline as the eclipse unfolds and record readings in real time. Attach photos and build an Eclipse Calendar with reminders for upcoming events. Everything is stored on-device. No account. No noise. Just your data and the sky.

We continue to gradually improve the app and its internal structure. In this version, we optimised selected workflows, improved the stability of several components and refined the data processing logic. We also made a number of small technical improvements to help maintain reliable performance and prepare the app for future updates.
