UmraAI

UmraAI is a focused, offline iOS companion for pilgrims preparing for or performing Umrah. Built for the Uzbek Muslim community first, with translations for Russian and English speakers and an Arabic interface for native readers. Once installed, the app works without an internet connection. No account, no sign-in, no ads, no trackers, no analytics. Open it on the plane, in the Haramayn, in a tent on Arafah — it behaves the same way it does at home. WHAT IT DOES - Articles: a curated library of articles on Umrah, Hajj, ritual purity (tahorat), and prayer, organized by category and searchable. Content is sourced with attribution from muslim.uz (Muslims Board of Uzbekistan) and other vetted publishers. Each article shows its original source so you can return to it. - Prayer times: the five daily prayers are computed on your device using the Adhan algorithm. Default settings are Umm al-Qura calculation method with the Hanafi madhhab for Asr. The app highlights the currently active prayer and counts down to the next one. - Qibla: a clean compass dial points toward the Kaaba in Mecca, computed from your device location using great-circle bearing. No network required. - Language switcher: Uzbek (Latin and Cyrillic), Russian, English, and Arabic. When a translation is missing for a piece of content, the app falls back to Uzbek so nothing disappears. - Dark Mode, Dynamic Type, and right-to-left layout support are built in from the first version. WHO IT IS FOR UmraAI is built for Uzbek-speaking Muslims preparing for Umrah, for first-time pilgrims who want a reliable reference in their own language, and for anyone who prefers an app that does not contact any server. The interface is plain and respectful; the content is informational and educational. PRIVACY YOU CAN TRUST We do not collect any personal data. We do not operate any servers. There are no accounts, no profiles, and no third-party SDKs that watch what you do. The only device permission the app requests is Location, used strictly to compute prayer times and the Qibla direction on your device. Coordinates never leave the phone. Read the full Privacy Policy in our repository. SCOPE AND HONEST LIMITS UmraAI is informational only. It is not a substitute for guidance from a qualified scholar (alim or mufti). For personal rulings, conditions of ihram, dispensations (rukhsa), or any matter that affects your religious obligations, please consult a knowledgeable scholar directly. Prayer times computed by the app may differ from your local mosque's schedule; where there is a difference, your local mosque takes precedence. WHAT IS NOT IN THIS VERSION To keep the first release honest and focused, the following are intentionally deferred: a full Quran reader, audio recitations, push notifications, a structured step-by-step manasik walk-through, and curated dua audio. Some of these are on the roadmap. NOTES ON CONTENT Articles are bundled inside the app, not streamed. The list grows version-over-version as we add new sources and translations.
