Wow - has anyone looked at the T&Cs?

It’s listed as a lifestyle app so you don’t have any medical privacy. They don’t “knowingly” track minors’ information, but if you as the parent enter it in, it’s theirs forever?! This is an app for tracking your child’s ADHD and behavior.
If it’s free, you’re the product… or in this case, your child is. I can’t download it for this reason.

Great app!

Having 4 kids makes everything feel impossible sometimes. It’s hard to remember who did what. This app helps me track each of their meltdowns, helps me learn different parenting strategies. & now that my second child is in school, her teachers think she has dyslexia.. the app is helping with that too. Apparently I knew almost nothing about it. It has taught me a lot.
I wish the app was more aesthetically pleasing. The profile icons are a little bland & it doesn’t give you the option to add your own. But it’s not a big deal & doesn’t affect using the app.

Awesome app! 10/10

For only one type of

This app doesn’t adhere to a child with ADHD Inattentive Type. For a child who doesn’t have meltdowns or disciplinary issues.

Like the concept but design is not user friendly at all

I downloaded this app because I liked the concept and thought it could help me with my child who has ADHD. But it’s really difficult to use, there’s way too much text! I ended up skipping through the instructions because it was overwhelming and not user friendly. The app is not interactive at all

Good but needs more

Love the idea and helping me understand behavior and triggers. But I can’t add more than one child? How can I track more than one kids behavior?

Best app ever!

This app is great! The person who made it is really cool and very good at their job! Keep up the amazing work :)

Going to start recommending this app

I’m a therapist who specializes in ADHD and I am also a mom who has ADHD and parents kids with ADHD. This app is (so far) everything that I have been looking for to help my clients (parents) with understanding and working with their kiddos.

Amazing

:)

Game changer

This app is so helpful for parents! I enjoy receiving encouragement from other parents experiencing the same struggles as well as getting great advice from trained professionals. Truly a game changer!

Response from developer

Hi Gina, thank you so much for your positive review! We're thrilled that you're part of the community and that the app has been helpful.

Finally

What a great app and resource for parents and educators who want to find information and ways to help their students and kids who are navigating all that comes with ADHD, learning disabilities, and other mental health issues.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your positive review, Mrs. Pedroza! It's people like you who help make our app such a warm, supportive, and helpful space.

Wunderfully put, Roger that!

Taping massive activism steps in Developmentalism…for good and growth

Provides some useful and easily digestible ideas

Seems like there are some good ideas to help with adhd related behaviors. Hoping for more involvement and tips. A large robust community would be most helpful but I have yet to see if there is much involvement.

Response from developer

Thank you for your positive review! We hope you've had a chance to come back and engage with the community.

Thanks

Thank you so much!

Impossible to change roll setting

Looks good but impossible to change some settings, like role of parent vs “here for me”. Also Categories not specific enough to get proper references

Math

I’ve gone all the way through math. And what did I learn?
I learned that math deserves to be hated. It’s not your fault.

Very overwhelming

It’s clear that the people who created this site want to be helpful. But they missed the boat. When one has dyslexia, they have trouble navigating the written word, and that is this entire app. Not one opportunity for voice to text or any videos. I didn’t give it one star because they do try to block the different topics so it’s not horrible to navigate. But there are a lot of questions posted by parents, and it’s difficult to find the experts who are actually giving advice versus people just sharing their experience. Also, the advice is pretty much anything you get anywhere on the Internet. I feel bad giving a poor review, because you can tell the experts care. But time would be better spent advocating for more streamlined support than passing out generic advice on an overwhelming platform.

Great content but App functions need work!

I think some of the content could be very useful, but it’s difficult to access. I’d like to try it again after the next update.

Device is an iPhone 12 with iOS 15.6.1

So far the issues encountered are:

1) I made a post to a group yesterday. Today it says I have a comment, but I haven’t been able to access/see it. When I click on the post from the feed it doesn’t show any comments, it only gives me the option to make a comment.

2) There is an issue when trying to view or download the printable resources. It requests an email to subscribe to emails or to log in. If you’ve joined the app via Google sign in there’s an error message that says “let the developer know that this app doesn’t comply with Google security…blah blah blah”. I’ve tried emailing and texting it to myself which just opens it up in the app and I keep encountering the same issue

3) I highly recommend adding a tech support link or adding a group/thread for people to ask tech related questions in the actual app, vs needing to go back to the App Store to find how to communicate with the developer.

The only reason I’m taking the time to do this is because I feel the content could be helpful/great! But the format and interface is lacking.

Awesome app!

Love this new app by the folks at Understood. I’ve been researching adhd on my own and found understood through articles on how adhd appears in early teens. This app helps me find other parents who’ve gone through this process of getting accommodations or helping their children in school! Love it

(Update: please feel free to use my review for testimonials. I’d only ask to keep it anonymous. Thank you.)

Excellent resource for families of children with learning differences.

I’m really enjoying a book study on Dyslexia right

Great find to support learning differences

As a parent who has 4 children (3 diagnosed with ADHD and/or dyslexia) this app is a great find. I just started using it and I am excited to explore more of what it offers. I’m always looking for ways to support my children thriving in school. My favorite quote about ADHD, “Creativity is ADHD gone right,” and it’s so true. Our brains work different, but that’s not a bad thing.
