Watch OS app could be better

The watch app for unity works really well. It lets you tap the watch face to toggle on off the Mike. But then it stops working after a couple hours.

Talk back is awful

Unless you are using some kind of headset, talking back with this app is heinous. Half the time the people on the other end, can’t understand what I say.

Doesn’t work with my iPhone 15 max pro

I successfully used this app on my iPhone 12. But it will not work on my iPhone 15. That is a problem. I’ve deleted and added the app back to my phone and it still doesn’t work.

FAQ

What is Unity Intercom?

Unity Intercom is a next-generation network-based full-duplex intercom system. It provides clear, low-latency audio communication over any IP-based network, functioning similarly to traditional intercom systems but with greater flexibility and lower cost.

What are the key features of Unity Intercom?

Key features include full-duplex communication, significantly higher audio quality than cell phones with no added latency, external program feed integration, support for up to 128 channels, and external tally support that can turn iOS devices into tally lights.

How does Unity Intercom work and what are its use cases?

The app works in conjunction with the Unity Intercom Server over Wi-Fi or cellular data, allowing communication globally. It's ideal for multi-camera live video production, fleet management, hotel staff, construction crews, and many other professional applications.

Is Unity Intercom compatible with traditional intercom systems?

Yes, Unity Intercom can be upgraded to integrate with external audio I/O, allowing audio to be routed to and from traditional hard-wired intercom systems. This effectively creates wireless com stations that work with existing wired infrastructure over any network.

What is the cost of Unity Intercom?

The Unity Intercom app itself is free to download and use. The core functionality relies on the Unity Intercom Server, and while the app is free, advanced features or increased user counts may involve server-side upgrades or purchases.
