Gut aber hängt manchmal

Univerbal ist für mich im Moment die beste Sprach App. Allerdings kann ich die seit ca. 2 Tagen nur manchmal benutzen, weil die App auf irgendetwas wartet.

Gute Sprach-App

Ich würde mir allerdings alltagstauglichere Themen wünschen, statt ständig über Umweltschütz, Mülltrennung etc reden zu müssen.

Real Deal

I tested a handful of apps over the last couple of months and finally settled on awesome Univerbal. I use it to refine my Spanish. Why did I choose it over the others? It helps me identify and correct mistakes (better than a handful of past human tutors). I am made aware of mistakes as I communicate with the AI “character” and gives me the opportunity to correct these mistakes during the conversation. It also generates flash cards of my mistakes that can be used as traditional flash cards, fill-in -the-blank answers, or as verbal responses. The IT team is responsive to (the minimal) problems that arise. Really enjoy the app!

Good so Far

Really just getting started, but I like what I see so far. Voice recognition seems about the right level for where I am now, at this point I am only getting feedback on the finished typed information, I only know it didn’t get what I say sometimes. Feedback on my pronunciation would make this app super.

Absolut Wunderbar und Empfehlenswert!

Falls ihr noch überlegt, die App herunterzuladen : Tut es! Es lohnt sich! Die Idee für die App ist einfach genial, auch wenn es immer wieder mal etwas kleines gibt, dass sich noch verbessern lassen könnte. Aber der Support ist einfach super, Probleme werden schnell gelöst (so schnell es geht), sie sind (zumindest auf Discord) immer erreichbar und nehmen Probleme etc Ernst!

Genau das, was ich bisher vergeblich gesucht habe: Eine App, die sich mit mir ziemlich natürlich auf Spanisch unterhält und mich auf Wunsch blitzschnell korrigiert und erklärt, was ich falsch und richtig gemacht habe, die außerdem noch meinen Sprachschatz erweitert. Diese App hat das Zeug dazu, das Sprachenlernen zu revolutionieren.

Versteht mich nicht

Im Dialog versteht die App oft meine Eingaben nicht. Wenn ich es über die Tastatur sprachlich mit Siri mache, ist alles in Ordnung. Selbst meine Frau als native Speaker wird oft nicht verstanden. Hier muss deutlich nachgebessert werden.

Leider fehlerhaft

Ich habe diese App einige Monate benutzt, um mein Niederländisch zu verbessern. Die freien Dialoge mit dem KI Assistenten sind wirklich sehr hilfreich beim erlernen der Sprache. Was mich aber sehr geärgert hat, sind die Lückentexte, die teilweise wirkliche Übersetzungsfehler beziehungsweise Grammatikfehler enthielten. Hat man diese dann nicht„korrekt falsch“ ausgefüllt, gab es natürlich keine Punkte. Aufgrund dieser ärgerlichen Fehler in der App habe ich das Abo letztendlich gekündigt.

Needs Some UI Help

Hey! I love this app it's fun!

I just have a slight issue- I am vision impaired so I need very large text and some notifications in the app are very large which is great but then I can't scroll down to any dismiss button so I have to totally close the app which also abandons the lesson!

Go for practicing speaking Spanish without pressure

I find this app really useful to enable me to practice speaking daily without too much pressure and with limited time as each task only takes about 5 minutes or so and I tend to spend about 10-15 minutes a day on it , which I prefer to my two full hours of lessons per week which are a bit more intense for speaking. However , I would not say it’s great for absolute beginners as it might be a bit much to have to talk so much straight away as you need some basic vocabulary

Verbesserungsbedarf

Nach längerer Pause habe ich den Norwegisch-Kurs wieder aufgenommen. Es gibt viele neue Features neben den Dialogen, das gefällt mir.
Aber die Spracherkennung ist schlechter geworden. Außerdem werden Sätze als verbesserungswürdig beurteilt, obwohl sie korrekt sind, wie ein Chat mit dem Tutor auch bestätigte.
Schade, eigentlich ist es eine schöne Idee um Sprechen zu üben !

This app promises big but delivers nothing until you pay the subscription fee. Not worth the price given the number out there that let you learn without a loan.

Funktioniert nur bedingt

Nutze die Testversion mit meinem Iphone. Wurde mir empfohlen. Bin allerdings enttäuscht. Finde das alles sehr unübersichtlich ist. Man weiss nicht, wo man nun anfangen soll und welche Übung für welchen Tag. Zu viele Kacheln, zu viel verschachtelt…. Zudem erscheint keine Tastatur, falls die Audio falsch wiedergeben wurde. Ich kann, im
Gegensatz zu Samsung, nichts ausbessern. Das ist nicht gut. Auch sind die Screens teils abgeschnitten.

Couldn’t learn

Some of the features seemed good. But as an absolute beginner it was impossible to progress - I hadn’t been introduced to the ideas and was being asked to have conversation

Great for intermediate learner

I have intermediate French and the conversational style of learning works well. The AI is good, however the voice recognition software is poor and I often have to retype. I find the Tutor’s explanations on grammar very useful.

I briefly tried starting to learn Italian and Chinese from scratch just to see and it is impossible to learn from jumping straight into conversation when you don’t speak a word of the language. It would have to begin at a much more basic level.
