Kind of awful
Worked for a day really well but now it won’t load past the open screen. Gets stuck on ‘loading map data’. Would be a very functional and useful app if it worked.

Around the time of this review, higher-than-expected traffic related to the CatCard launch caused loading issues for some users, including getting stuck on the loading screen. Since then, stability improvements have been made. The app now supports CatCard management, library space reservations, and notifications for upcoming appointments, reservations, and registered events. We appreciate you sharing this feedback and are continuing to improve reliability.

August 2025 Updates - Give this App a Chance!
I was afraid to download this app because of the bad reviews, but it seems they’ve listened to feedback and put in a lot of work to make the app user friendly and functional! I can access my detailed class schedule, upcoming appointments, and even see accurate maps to help with navigating to my classes (if you select to view directions it will take you to your map of choice, in my case AppleMaps). There are a lot more amenities to this app but I want to keep this review concise. You have the option to have your digital CatCard in the app, which is convenient (I personally prefer my physical card though, and you cannot have both options at once currently). The app looks sleek and minimalistic, runs fast and efficiently (sometimes it starts up a little slow, but it still loads up within a minute). All pages and maps load properly, website redirects links are not broken, and the app has clearly been worked on recently. As of this review 8/25/2025, as a UofA student starting today, I recommend this app. I will update the review if my opinion changes for the worst! 🐻⬇️ Thanks for reading! 👏

Just like the school
This app is absolutely garbage and all employees dont do their job and tell you to use the app. Which would be fine IF IT EVER WORKED. All positive reviews are from faculty, they are told to give a good score because no one wants to do their job freaking job anymore.

LAGGY
It is soooo laggy
useless waste of energy
this is one of the hardest apps i’ve ever had to navigate. it’s buggy, limited, poorly organized, and extremely outdated. i don’t even know if anyone will see this, because it seems like the app hasn’t been touched or even thought about in ages. if the app did what it says it could do and was able to provide easy access to needed information, it’d be wonderful.
the only positive reviews are from 10+ years ago, and the app has less than 2 stars all together. it’s a collective, long running issue that renders the app useless for everyone. here’s a list of the issues i’ve run into so far
- can’t save my login information/net ID, despite it being an app on my phone. every time i open the app, i need to log in. this takes me to a pop up page, to log into my Uaccess from my browser app. next, i have to leave my browser for mandatory double authentication, allow myself access on the browser, so the browser can allow access to the app (all on the same device). after that, there’s a possibility it won’t register as logged in even if i manage to stay logged in, the app is still useless as a student.
-my schedule is shown as blank and doesn’t show any future dates. what’s the point of showing only one day at a time? this entire 1/3 of the app can only tell me if i have a class today.
-the app has NO change if you’re logged in or not. i can’t see my D2L, catcard, my classes, or even an acknowledgment that i am an individual student and not looking at the equivalent of a free 2006 gas station map on my phone.
-the map is almost as ugly as it is dysfunctional. the directions to each individual building is a very smart, helpful idea, especially for new students. however, any building you click on the directions for is registered in apple maps as the entire University of Arizona. once again, useless, and could be easily replaced with a pamphlet map of where the university is. and it’s not even a feature of the app! it just takes you to a different app, to do an unfinished job it is incapable of.
-the information of the cat tran is unintelligible and ridiculous. you can’t even click on one of the routes to get more information, such as the direction the tram is going, or where it stops. again, just a useless map with colored lines to poorly convey that there might be a form of transportation in one general area.
-the resources page is a pathetic directory with broken links. i can’t even believe that the word “streamlined” is in the app description. the links only take you to a third party browser to log in (net id, duo mobile, back to the browser). some of the links aren’t even formatted for phones! this is the equivalent of me googling something about my own university. there’s nothing streamlined about being taken to separate apps and having to log in every time.
-if the half baked app wasn’t so awful to navigate, it’d still be a pain to deal with due to the bugs. the app lags, quits, and freezes multiple times in one use.
the entire app is the equivalent to a 2008 directory in which you can find information about where to find information in order to find information. it’s a xerox of a xerox. a broken pain in the butt. i don’t want to assume, but i highly suggest that if you want to improve the app (which would improve the quality and ease of your students education) you need to hire a few people under the age of 35 and people with experience with functional programming.
please. it’s the worst app i’ve ever seen. this has such potential to have a huge impact. thank you.

This app is super helpful with directions!
I’m an incoming freshman at the U of A and it directs my phone to Apple Maps to calculate direction and time and it’s absolutely relevant to get me to my classes in time! Thanks for the app!I’ll be using it!

Most links don’t work
Resources section totally blank since update
I used to love this app. Since the update I can’t check email or get to anything that was on the resource page. It’s just blank.
Just awful
The app was good before. Everything worked and it was easy to navigate, now nothing works and everything freezes all the time. I don’t know what is going on with the UOFA but this app is awful, change it back to how it was before. Also the map being there all the time is annoying. I can’t even see my grades or my schedule anymore.

Please fix
Used Arizona Mobile every day last Fall for the Cat Tran. Super convenient for me living at the Honors Village and working at the south Recreation Center (1 mile away, 15-18 minute walk). Ever since the update I can’t even get past the main loading screen. It just freezes. I need the app for the Cat Tran. Please fix this.

You cannot even login
This app is not working since Spring 2020. That semester, I tried to use it or at least see its content and didn’t work. Now I checked it again to see if I can using it during Fall, but it’s in the same bad shape. I uninstalled it and installed it again and nothing. It is just frozen. The version before this one worked very well.

broken, buggy, terrible app
it was fine before they changed it and now it is completely broken and terrible. Resources don’t work, map is slow and buggy, and why is the map now the default screen??? App was fine before they changed it and now it’s literally one of the worse apps I have seen in years and years. U of A is either getting ripped off by a dev or their internal team is not so good.

Not functional
The worked great when I initially got it a few months ago. They changed it and updated it a couple times now and it now does not open any resources. I’ve attempted to delete and re-download the app, but it did not fix anything. This needs a better update and fix or back to the old version.
Downgrade / Failure of an app
The previous version worked perfectly and was easy to use. Now it barely opens, opens to a no functioning map, crashes and requires clicking through non-intuitive menus to get to things I need like D2L. Everything is based off of a map, an incorrect one at that. Waste of time and money by the university. Even the logo is worse.

Next to useless
When the app doesn’t crash, it is next to useless for tracking the cat tran - it’s extremely difficult to navigate the menu, times aren’t accurate and don’t update and I get messages about how a particular stop isn’t serviced, when in fact it is. When I need to get a time-sensitive experiment from one side of campus to the other, it’s more reliable to walk.

New updates make it crash
The app always crashes since they redid it and they made it hard to see when the cattrans arrive and leave
Absolute garbage
Things don’t load at a decent speed if at all. The Cat Tran shows less arrival times and most of the time they’re incorrect. It’s more difficult to navigate through basic things. Bring back the old version please.
