The app developer (aka pashaka) generally allows mods to do whatever they want. No real oversight to check their bad behavior.
But those mods have gotten lazy. So the chat became flooded with political chat and other inappropriate stuff.
His solution was to create ai bots to monitor chat. These things just ban everyone now.
Gameplay is okay if you like chess style strategy.

Totally Addicted
I can’t get enough of this game. The variety of maps, races and units make for an infinite supply of fun.
$25 Subscription
$25 annual subscription to remove ads?! That’s beyond greedy.

Push notification harassment
Used to be a huge fan going back to 2012, but I’m DONE with the constant push notification harassment to “Join the battlefield now!”
Paid full price for the game over a decade ago, and supported the devs even when they made it pay to play, but finally cancelled my sub and am deleting the app because of the constant notification harassment.

Solid game!
Been playing it for years. It’s a solid game and great dev support
2025 update ruins continuity
I first began to play UniWar on my iPhone 3GS well over a decade ago. It has been the only game I’ve continued to play on all my mobile phones. The 2025 update has ruined the gameplay. I’ve lost the ability to build units that were previously earned and the advert videos WILL NOT load so my only option is to pay to activate units. Reinstalling app did not fix. Very disappointed.

Good strategy game
Fun multiplayer player turn based strategy game. The free version lets you figure out if you like it. If end up playing a lot then the subscription is a good idea.
Lacks aesthetics
Gameplay is “fun” but gets boring to look at after a while. The game often feels like it is barebones and could use some serious updates.

Customer support has been unresponsive. Update your state flags - Mississippi, Utah, and Minnesota all have new flags. Please update them. Please.

Ads that you can’t skip come up every couple of minutes

Easy to win, easy to lose...and very repetitious. Once the ‘pair’ is broken, you’re screwed. That’s it. Moving on.

Exceptionally re-playable!
This game hits the sweet spot of being easy to learn but challenging to master. The 3 species are well-balanced, & the ability to create, share & edit maps/playing fields makes for a casual game that isn’t boring even after several years of play. Highly recommended!

I haven’t played this game in years but looked into it again recently. I have to say I’m really impressed with the updates. The tutorial is great, in game guides, new units are al, superb. The cost is well worth it. I’d highly recommend
