About

Some things need to be said. They do not need to be sent. Unsaid is a quiet place to write the letters you carry and never deliver. To someone you miss. To someone who hurt you. To someone who has died. To the person you were ten years ago, or the one you are trying to become. WHAT YOU DO WITH IT - Address a letter to anyone at all, real or imagined, living or gone, and write it. - Write as long or as short as it needs to be, on a calm page with nothing else on it. - Save it to your shelf, where every letter you have written sits, newest first. - Come back and keep editing a letter until you are finished with it. - Seal it when it is done. A sealed letter becomes read-only and stays exactly as you left it, in the words you used that night. - Read any of them back whenever you want to. - Delete a sealed letter, permanently, when you no longer need to be carrying it. WHY SEALING MATTERS An open note invites you to keep tidying it. Sealing does the opposite: it fixes the moment. What you wrote at two in the morning stays what you wrote at two in the morning, and reading it back in six months is worth something precisely because you cannot go back and make it more reasonable. WHO IT IS FOR Grief, a breakup, an argument that ended badly, a parent you cannot talk to, an apology nobody wants to hear, a thank you that came too late. Anyone processing something who does not want an audience, an algorithm or a reply. PRIVACY Unsaid makes no network requests. There is no account, no sign up, no cloud, no sync, no analytics and no advertising. Nothing is ever sent anywhere, because there is nowhere to send it. Every letter is written to your own device and stays there, and uninstalling takes them with it. No notifications. No streaks. Nothing pulling you back. It waits until you want it. Sometimes the most important words are the ones you write for yourself.
