About
You open Instagram to answer one message. Forty minutes later you're still swiping through Reels. Unscroll breaks that loop without making you quit social media.
Unscroll opens Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X and TikTok in its own browser and strips out the parts built to keep you hooked. You still chat with friends, see what they send you and follow the people you care about. The infinite scroll is what goes.
WATCH THE REEL THEY SENT. THAT'S IT.
A friend shares a video, you watch it. The swipe to the next one is blocked. No more "just one more."
CHOOSE WHAT YOU SEE ON EACH APP
Turn on only the filters you need:
- Instagram: block Reels, Explore, Stories, your feed and saved posts; hide ads and suggested posts, or go DMs-only.
- Facebook: no Reels, no Stories, no ads or suggestions, or messages-only mode.
- YouTube: hide Shorts, recommendations, the home feed and comments. Keep your searches and subscriptions.
- X and TikTok: block the vertical video feed and keep everything else.
A DAILY SCROLL BUDGET
Not ready to go cold turkey? Pick how many minutes of Reels and Shorts you get per day, across all apps. When they're gone, they're gone until tomorrow.
REELS-FREE HOURS
Block short-form video on a schedule: at work, while studying or before bed.
TIME LIMITS PER APP
Set a daily or weekly limit for each network and get a nudge every 15 minutes showing how long you've been on. Track today's and this week's usage and compare it with previous days.
GO GRAYSCALE
Drain the color from the feed and watch it lose its pull.
NO SNEAKING BACK INTO THE ORIGINAL APPS
Using Apple's Screen Time, Unscroll shields the original apps you choose and sends you to their filtered version instead. Add home screen shortcuts and widgets to open each network straight in Unscroll.
PRIVACY FIRST
You sign in directly with each network, just like in Safari. Your filters and settings stay on your device.
Get Unscroll and use social media on your terms, not the algorithm's.
Unscroll is an independent app and is not affiliated with Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X or TikTok.
