Doesn’t seem to upscale, just stretches

Literally just stretches to the specified resolution. I put them side by side and saw no changes at all.

Doesn’t actually improve quality

Videos I’ve upscaled to 4K still look bad, low resolution and blurry. Please update your upscaling algorithm

Does the trick!

This does exactly what it says it does, and it does it well.

Too Many Short Comings

This app is very easy to use. I tried it out because my other app, the Open Source HandBrake have too many bells and whistles and I wanted something quick. Unfortunately, Unsqueeze have too many short comings, some of which are just unacceptable: 1. Not compatible with MacOS Quick Look feature; Quick Look offers a fast, full-size preview of nearly any kind of file without opening the file. 2. Unsqueeze is slower than Handbrake using MAC hardware encoding; 3. Unsqueeze does not handle any embedded chapter markers. They are all lost after the upscale encode. Too bad.

licence

Je viens d’acheter la licence et rien ne change ! Idem que la version gratuite..le menu pixel reste grisé…Que faire?

Great upscaling app how ever….

This app truly is a great upscaling App, but until recently 5/5/2025 I ran into an issue of upscaling video game recordings. I don’t know why but whenever I try to it cancels out and my phone vibrates like it’s “shaking its head no”. before this, I have had an issue with batch upscaling videos where they would duplicate instead of actually upscale as in I would have 17 or 18 video game clips for content, and after 6 of them, they would all duplicate and fill up those spots.

I use this almost all the time whenever I make content because I think it makes the videos look great. I truly love this app.

Developers, please get in contact with me. I also have a few ideas on options that you could add to the App!

Yo

Good

SCAM

The app worked better when it was free. I bought it to upscale my video to the max setting and it wouldnt even start. $9 down the drain

Free version great, 8K upscaling in paid version not good

Upscaling a FullHD video to 4K with the free version worked well. So I purchased the paid version for 9.99 Euro. The upscale was processed quickly on an M4 Pro, however the video quality is not as good as with other upscalers and the output format is Apple ProRes. So my 4 minutes file got exported to a 86 Gigabyte file. I will ask for a refund.

In-app purchase problem

Love the app and I want to go beyond the free version, but I can’t seem to make an in-app purchase from my Mac.

Does What It Says

It does upscale content to 2K and does a fine job of preserving details but don’t expect it to enhance the visuals. The developer hasn’t claimed that it adds details so it’s a fine choice to change resolution but not what I’m looking for. Simple UI and relatively fast.

Scammy

Works in that it makes the image larger without blurring but doesn’t do 8k and only crashes once it gets your money from you.

Excellent!

It upscales, it doesn’t add details but the image will be larger without losing quality.

I believe that the “freezing” others mention is due to the lack of progress view when moving the file from the app to its final location.

On macOS you can actually see the destination file size growing while “frozen”. Once the file is done moving the freeze goes away.

The files can get to be really really really large. So you likely need some post processing to reduce size significantly.

TRASH SCAM

Do not buy this SCAM! I paid and now it won’t let me actually change any videos. Just keeps freezing once the file is completed.

this app is a GAME CHANGER.

I use this to upscale videos I make (which are usually quite low quality to save storage) but by using this it allows me to make things look crispier, AND have videos TAKE UP LESS STORAGE!? (depending on the upscale %) + ALL OF THIS FOR FREE. (forgot that there’s a subscription) BUT it’s completely optional!!!

Awful

Can’t see any difference

absolutely ridiculous! 😒

it’s absolutely ridiculous the size of the gigabyte it takes just to improve the quality a video. my phone has 129 gigabyte of storage i made 2 videos using this app and my storage was full after improving the quality of 2 videos. 1 video i made to improve the quality of my video with this app was like 1.29 gigabyte 😳 like i said it’s absolutely ridiculous 😒 don’t get me wrong the app is great for improving the quality of video/s but the size of the gigabyte’s it takes just for improving the quality is absolutely ridiculous

Greatest upscaling app out there!

I enjoy that it skips the subscription.

File sizes seem larger than equivalent counterparts.

Should support MV-HEVC files, right now it just crashes.

It would be nice to save to an external drive for temp files.

Overall great app.

Unusable

Every time the app finishes upscaling the video the app freezes and won’t let me save it, rendering it useless. Can’t speak on the quality of the upscaling since I can’t even view it

I don’t know
