About
My short game practice was aimless.
"Practice" was hitting ball after ball from the same spot until I got bored. No structure, no pressure, no point. Sound familiar?
So I built Up + Down Golf. One ball. Real pressure. 15 minutes. Done.
Two game modes:
Up + Down Mode
Chip and putt from 5-60 feet (1.5-18 meters). One ball per hole. No mulligans. Mix of chips and toss shots to train feel and green reading. Just like the course - you get one chance.
Pitch Perfect Mode
Approach shots from 40-270 feet (12-82 meters). Hit to a target, measure proximity, move on. Build the distance control that sets up everything else.
Why it works:
Structure - Every session is 9 holes. You're playing, not aimlessly hitting balls.
Real scenarios - Random distances. Different shots. Like you'll face on Saturday.
Accountability - Practice streaks reset if you skip 3+ days. Consistency wins.
Adaptive - Struggle with a shot? You'll see it more.
Simple - Pace distance with your feet, count strokes with your fingers, use one actual ball. Like golf.
The result:
I dropped 10 strokes off my short game building this thing. Your mileage will vary, but if your practice has no structure, this fixes that.
$4.99. One time. No subscription. No data collection. No logins.
Your short game struggles are between you, your watch, and your ears.
