The amount of work that went into this is astounding, I applaud their intention to tell a story so deep and interesting that has to do with science. I am grateful to buy this app because is worth my time. Thank you and I hope this app will get updated continually.

Iβm seriously irritated by the 3D effects. I keep toggling them off, and they keep coming back. Itβs very difficult to enjoy the work when it keeps wiggling about. Please fix.
I waited 7 years for this
And it was totally worth it. To be honest, I thought that the creators threw this project in the trash. This was also one of the first times I had spent actual money in the app store. After waiting for over a year, I deleted the app from my phone and periodically checked the app store for updates until I forgot about it. Imagine my surprise when i found out that not only was it updated last year, but that it also was DONE. And now that I just read it, it was GOOD. The story was incredible and the storytelling was flawless. I was rapt the entire time, and I loved how the science concepts were able to hold water (and this is coming from a bio major). Next time don't keep me hanging seven years though, ok?

Upgrade Soul is a must for fans of sci-fi, thrillers, comics, and cartoons. The app is a truly unique experience with an atmosphere that elevates the incredible paper comic to an even higher level.
Back from the dead
Wow. I have had this app sitting on my phone for years. Hoping one day for more. Awesomely done story and presentation. I had up to chapter 9 and it's nice to know that people who bought chapters will get the full book later. Good to see you are back.

So the other chapters have been release now. The old app had spots for like chapters 10 and 11 I think it was but those seem to be gone. I got all the chapters back I paid for years ago(1-9) but I was just really hoping for a little more after years of inactivity.

This comic is AMAZING!
The story is so compelling! Ezra Claytan Daniels writes the creepiest and most thoughtful science fiction I've read. The subtle uses of the comic's technology are really fun and create a unique reading experience!

Good luck getting people's business only having 9 of the 18 episodes in the story available. And the last update being 2 years ago?! Seems like someone gave up on the project.

If we didn't have established juggernauts...
...then this company might be able to better expand what is undoubtedly an excellent and modern platform for presenting digital graphic novels. I have not seen any other engines quite as novel as this one.
I wrote the creator to commend him about his extraordinary story and platform, and also to find out if there was any way it could be used by non-programmers; alas, he told me that some knowledge in Infinity was necessary, and to have a programmer create something similar was going to be quite costly. This is a bummer because if this engine were more user friendly, I think he would have a gold mine as an alternative company to types like Comixology and their ilk, who just churn out material similar to what you find in a comic book store, rather than material designed for a 21st century tablet. Sigh.
Upgrade Soul is what a 21st century comic book should look and feel-like. Excellent work.

Just finish it already
Got worn down constantly needing to purchase new chapters and waiting months and years between installments. Just read a good book or graphic novel...this one is interesting but ultimately makes for a very tedious experience.

Immersive and original
I have never experienced a more unique media experience. This is the perfect blend between music, comics, movies, and animation. Such a cool story and amazing design. This is a gem and needs shared.
The best app-comic I've read
Many apps attempt to bring comics up to date for the smartphone/tablet generation, and few succeed. Usually they add flashy animation where the story doesn't need it. Upgrade Soul is a very good comic at its core, and the interactive parts of it work quite well at enriching the story: the panel move cinematically, the music follows your pace, the 3D effects make the world a bit more real. Excited to keep reading the story as it develops!

Story/app is definitely interesting...
...although I'm having trouble downloading the chapters. Managed to get up to chapter seven and have purchased chapter 8 but it'll download about half the chapter and crash. Not sure if this is an iOS 8 issue but it is a pain paying for something and not being able to use it.
Sci-Fi at its best !
Take an ordinary, aging couple, offer them the opportunity for youthfulness restored and a possibility for enhancements beyond normal human ability, throw in some good old-fashioned consequences, and you just can't help but watch what happens.
It's been riveting to read 'since I started, and of course, they write every chapter like a time-jumping cliff-hanger every few frames, so it holds my interest and keeps me waiting for updates.
I appreciate that previous chapters are available to download, and don't just stay "on board" to rob my phone of space.

Incredibly inmersive experience! Upgrade Soul shows us a new path into storytelling. Everything plays together in the same direction: illustrations, the story, the score, interactivity... beautifully intertwined.
It really takes you deep inside the characters and their desires and fears. I can't wait for the next chapters!
