About
Upholstery Job Tracker keeps fabric yardage, customer-supplied material (COM) tags and job stages together on one job, so the estimate, the fabric that actually arrived, and the remnant left over never end up on three different scraps of paper.
THE YARDAGE MATH, DONE THE SAME WAY EVERY TIME
Enter the cut lengths a piece needs, and the app rounds each one up to a multiple of the fabric's vertical pattern repeat, then sums them. That is the whole calculation — deliberately simple so it is exactly right, not clever. Fabric width, unit (inches or yards, or metric), and repeat are stored per FabricSpec, and a job can have more than one fabric lot when a piece uses several materials.
WHEN THE MATH DOESN'T FIT, YOU DO
Railroaded fabric and horizontal pattern repeat are not auto-calculated in this version — the app clearly shows "not calculated — enter manually" and routes you to a manual override. Every override is recorded as an override, with your reason, so nobody mistakes a manual number for the automatic one later.
COM TAGS THAT DON'T GET LOST
Log the supplier, bolt or roll ID, yards received and a photo for every customer-supplied fabric delivery, and tie it directly to the job it belongs to. When a job is cut, you choose which remnant piece was used from your own remnant inventory — the app never auto-subtracts a remnant, because width, continuous length and pattern position don't line up automatically.
JOBS BOARD BY STAGE
Track each piece from quoted, to fabric in, to in progress, to done, with a due date and a photo of the piece. The Job Sheet PDF — sized for US Letter — brings together the customer, piece description, fabric spec, calculated vs. received yardage, the COM tag photo and the job's stage history, ready to hand to a customer or file for your own records.
WHAT THIS APP DOES NOT DO
Upholstery Job Tracker never presents its calculated yardage as a guarantee of the fabric a job will require — cutting decisions, seam allowances and layout judgment remain the upholsterer's own. It does not place fabric orders or process payments.
TRIAL AND UNLOCK
The app is free to download, and every feature is available for a 7-day (168-hour) trial starting at first launch. After the trial, creating new jobs is locked while your existing jobs remain viewable and exportable as PDF. The paywall — showing the price and a Restore Purchases button — is reachable at any time from Settings, during or after the trial. Purchasing the one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase unlocks the app permanently.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account is required. Upholstery Job Tracker works fully offline: customers, jobs, fabric specs, COM tags and photos stay on your device and are never sent to a server. Settings includes a backup feature that exports all records and photos as a single ZIP file — keep a copy somewhere safe in case you change devices.
Upholstery Job Tracker is built around one job stage board and one honest yardage number per job — simple math, tracked stages, and nothing lost between the estimate and the finished piece.
