Fun Game, Little Depth, One Major Bug

Uprise is, by any objective measure, not a great game. It’s very simple, and extremely repetitive. And yet, for whatever reason, it’s a game I find myself coming back to again and again. I don’t know exactly what it is about this game that I find so enjoyable, but I can’t deny that I definitely do enjoy playing it.

There is, however, one rather significant bug that has persisted through multiple updates, which leads me to believe the developers are not aware of it - hence why I am mentioning it now. When purchasing units in the Market, you only receive the unit associated with every other purchase (despite being charged for every purchase). For example, suppose I start a new campaign, head to the market screen, and select an Anti-Air Unit - ostensibly, nothing happens; my total number of Anti-Air units does not increase by 1, nor does my balance decrease by 30 coins. If I then select Anti-Air Unit again, I will receive 1 Anti-Air Unit (i.e. my total number of AAU’s will increase by 1), but my balance will decrease by 60 coins (i.e. the price of the current purchase PLUS the price of the previous purchase which appeared not to go through). To be clear, this occurs at all times and regardless of which units are selected.

To counter this, I’ve made it a practice of always including Soldiers in my army composition since they are the cheapest units at 5 coins apiece, but this means that for every unit I actually purchase I am forced to pay an additional 5 coins. From a coding perspective, I’m not sure why it might be that every other market transaction is processed differently, but hopefully there is a relatively simple fix for this issue.
