Best High-End Professional Networking App
Upstream is, bar none, the best networking app since the early days of LinkedIn. Whether you’re an entry or mid-level employee, an investor, an exec, a gig worker or the founder or CEO of any company, there are great communities on Upstream for you. I participate in eight of them and just founded my own community. I meet great new colleagues at every online event I attend.

No real point to this app
I joined this app excited to find a professional community but I honestly don’t get the point of the app.
It’s just a bunch of “rooms” you request access to and then people just ask for intros/advice. It’s like a Twitter for questions but most of the time people don’t respond. Why would I scroll through a bunch of strangers’ questions in my free time?
Bottomline there’s not a lot of community-building, it feels like it’s more of a transactional space. Only nice thing is that there are office hours but that’s about it.

No referral code so I’m spam?
I made an account to network but I was identified as spam before I could join a group or message anyone. I emailed help@ and support@ but neither has replied. I was really hoping this would be a cross between Meetup and LinkedIn. 🤷♀️👩💻
NOT MY JAM
This app is focused more on making my own groups than joining others. Requested to join several other groups and they’re still PENDING after 3 weeks. Also trying to filter out by region or group you want to network with is a total pain. On a positive note I did like the work hours feature.
I was hoping for a LinkedIn alternative. But, for me, this is NOT a good app to help build my business.
