Performance and battery life improvements based on field testing feedback. - Dramatically reduced battery drain: GPS now automatically downshifts to low-power mode once a solid fix is locked, instead of running the GPS chip at maximum accuracy the entire time. - Map view loads significantly faster: inventory tree dots now use lightweight native rendering instead of individual SwiftUI views, fixing lag when displaying 1,400+ trees. - Reduced memory usage: photos are now saved at an optimized resolution and displayed using cached thumbnails instead of loading full-size images on every screen. - Faster tree list scrolling: survey history counts are now pre-computed instead of recalculated per row.
