App what?!?!?

The double eagle app is amazing! I am honored and proud to be serving in this organization. Easy to use, wealth of information and best of all, it is FREE!! Thank you to all involved!

Channels don’t work

Downloaded the app as it was recommended by the managers for the ccwo programs.... but I couldn’t figure out how to subscribe to the channels... I’ve watched the youtube videos and went to the we b page and facebook to see how to do it but still couldn’t figure it out. Disappointed non the less and won’t be using this app

Unable to access

I downloaded the app and tried to create an account. It advised me that my email was already in use. Wierd considering I’ve never had this app before. So just tried to reset my password got an email with a link to rest it. No problem right, except when I then tried to open it with the new password I received a message that I would receive another email to authenticate my new password and never received that email. I went through this process several times just get the same result (I know definition of insanity). I have also reached out to the people on the contact via website, and haven’t received a reply ( that was almost two weeks ago). I have never one started anything and I really hate that the first time I one star something it has do with something I love the Army.

Great updates

Very helpful for keeping in the loop regarding command guidance & staying connected with fellow USAR Soldiers

The best app I have ever used!!!

This app gives me all the tools needed to keep informed about the Army Reserve and helps me communicate with my fellow service members

Great App

This app enables me to get to Army Reserve info I need at my fingertips in real time. I Love it capital L!

Terrible fitness tracker among other things

This version of the app leaves much to be desired.

Typing into the app causes problems with a teleporting cursor and inability to delete words or edit in the middle of a sentence. Also frequently unable to hide keyboard to press buttons on the bottom of the screen.

The fitness tracker is terribly inaccurate in terms of distance and speed. I ran a one mile test using the double eagle app and Apple Watch on a known good 1-mile track used for APFT. At the end of the test the Apple Watch was right on point, but the double eagle app said I was only halfway there despite accurately showing the run route on the map.

ACFT

Please put an ACFT calculator on this.

A non-starter

Seems like a good idea, but like most good ideas, the Army tried to fix it until it broke. In this particular case, the app wouldn’t let me enter any type of email but my military email. A sound idea to be sure, but then the app failed to send an activation email which compelled me to have the app resend until it magically did. Of course the plot thickened when I opened the confirmation email in my military email to find a confirmation link in which “this link has been disabled to protect your security”. Once again the Army shoots itself in the foot with a new bit of software that is specific to a select few (AGR) and useless to others (TPU)

Can’t Even Log In

The app told me my .mil is already in use, so I had the app send a password reset .mil email. I click the link in my .mil email and reset my password, then I go to log in and it gives me the error that a re-verification email is sent to my .mil and I never get the re-verification email.

Tried this twice and gave up. Shouldn’t be that difficult to sign in.

Retired Reserves

Why on earth would the Army send a mailer to retirees advertising an app that they cannot access? Waste of money on the glossy mailing and a useless app for retirees.

Sorry you’re retired

Now move along we have nothing here for you because you don’t have a . Mil email address.

Not logging in on my phone...

The privacy policy says the government may seize and inspect all the data on my phone.

App needs more functions

Please add more data and functions specifically the leaders book.currently the awards is just a toggle and I cannot input multiple awards of the same kind. Uniform and equipment inventory would also be great

More APFT and HT/T data would be beneficial rather than just inputting the last APFT date. Since SGLI and DD 93 should be updated yearly, please allow us to input this date to help the S1 admin with getting this data. Where is the counseling and evaluation? How about forms and documents upload?

Useless

This app is useless for retired personnel as most of our .mil email address are inactivated. Oh well.

No stars

I got a magazine in the mail and it suggested this app. Doesn’t tell you it’s not for people in the retired reserves. I don’t have a .mil address any more.

Unable to use

Unable to log in. Used my email address as requested but when I try to log in it tells me I must need to reverify. I try that and it says address currently in use.

5 stars for initiative

This is a brand new app, there will be crashes and glitches to come but this enables line leaders to engage their soldiers remotely, and conveniently in a way that has been eclipsed by civilian communication methods. So much reserve soldier management has spilled over into using public solutions which are more convenient than enterprise email, and social media left a gaping and vulnerable hole to be filled. This is the first step in filling that hole by giving young tech savvy soldiers a convenient way to find information and be engaged by their junior line leaders. I don’t know about anyone else but this is a huge plus for my Company element.

Great Idea, App needs improvement

Recommend adding a function to grade the ACFT in addition to the APFT. Also, more importantly, I would add another star to my review if the app would actually notify me when someone comments in one of my channels. If notifications actually worked it would be a great resource to communicate with the unit. I’ve enabled notifications in my phone settings but it still doesn’t work.
