I love this game so much there’s nothing I would change it’s so fun with cute little bunnies!! I do feel like maybe there could be more things, like another island and being able to zoom out more, even making and customising your own bunnies, or having your own bunnies employed at cafes and dumpling stalls would be adorable ❤️❤️ also if they had hotel rooms and houses where you can decorate it inside designated for each bunny at nighttime and having bunnies making friends with each other when they have similar personalities (like Celeste and Boo) But to sum up this game is genuinely awesome and adorable for a chill game !!

Cute game! But issue with restoring progress from cloud, music, etc
This is the best idle game I’ve ever played tbh - it reminds me of the excitement I had when Neko Atsume first came out, but I actually like it even more because of how cute the art style is and how there’s so much you can do with the bunnies, like pet them, brush them, feed them, and play hide and seek with them. I love how creative I can be with the layout as well - like I can have a shopping district, or a forest district, or an onsen ryokan kind of place.
I did run into a few issues though that I hope the developer can address over time! I know it’s just one person so it must be a lot aha, but I hope the game can get better and better!
1) I had to delete the app for a little bit but after I redownloaded it, a lot of my items or “out of bounds” and I had to restore my purchases to get the extension pack back again, but lost a lot of my previous landscaping efforts. Even more sad is that ALL of my photos were gone 😭 I put so much effort into curating the album, and it was sad to see it just vanishing like that. Makes me not want to go to the trouble of rebuilding it lol.
2) The background music, the instrumental music (from the piano / guitar) and radio often conflicts with one another and I have to turn one off to listen to the others. Eventually I just turned off background music so I can listen to ambient sounds and the instrumentals, but then Bun Run was literally just silent lol and that was weird.
3) It would be nice to if we can get the option to take a photo of any new bunnies at show up immediately. Also, to make “profile pictures” of each bunny by favoriting that picture! Also would love options to take a photo of the entire island.
Overall I love this game! But am a bit discouraged from playing it after losing so much info from cloud save 🥹 maybe I’ll come back to check it out in a few more months to see what updates there are, and if issues have been resolved!

I love this game SO MUCH (not being sarcastic btw) the icons for the bunnies when you tap on them in the bunbook is so cute I love mochie’s it’s so cute I love the loafing bunnies but one thing I will ask for is that instead of having to wait until the bunnies want to play could you add an option to play with them without having to wait but you can add a cap to how many times you can play. I like to read one star reviews on my favorite games for some reason and I saw TONS of reviews by people who “stopped getting bunnies” and “can’t get gold carrots”. That’s why I’m writing this.
1. Getting Bunnies🐰
There are 2 groups of bunnies (Normal and Special). You get normal bunnies by decorating your island. The more decorative your island is, the more bunnies you get. To get the special bunnies, you have to meet certain requirements. Like for Kinoko (mushroom), you have to have 3 mushroom decorations on your island, and for Blossom, you have to have the Dango Shop, Picnic basket, and 3 trees with falling petals. Yes, I learned this from the wiki (usagishimawiki.com).
2. Golden carrots🥕
I saw tons of reviews saying they can’t get golden carrots. It gets easier to get golden carrots the more you progress through the game. You can get golden carrots by completing tasks and achievements. You can also win a maximum of three carrots every time you play the Bun Run minigame. Buns can also give you up to 5 golden carrots per tip. If you use these things to get golden carrots, you can get at least 10 a day (20 if you watch ads to double).
I’ve been playing for atleast 3 weeks and it got insanely easy to get golden carrots (As of 6/13/26: 380 golden carrots. Playing for 5 weeks)
3. Boringness
Usagi Shima is what the creator describes as a “come back later” game, meaning it’s meant to be played in short sessions, not long continuous ones. Otherwise, the only action you would get on your island is Celeste flipping over. (I hope that was funny😭🥀✌️💀)
4. Additions➕
A lot of people have suggestions on what to add in the game (new bunnies, walking bunnies, etc.), but the game is made by one person, so it takes a while to make these changes. It took the creator 3 years to make these current version. You might be thinking “but all they have to do is draw a new bunny, how hard can that be?”. Yes, they do have to draw a new bunny, but that also have to draw new animations and add a space in the bun book. These things all together can take months. They will continue to release small, monthly updates. As for walking bunnies, it is (sadly💔)impossible to make the buns walk with the hand-drawn animation style of the creator).
5. Space🕳️
Most people complain that they don’t have enough room. There is an island expansion game pass if you want to pay for it (paying for these gamepasses helps the game develop!!), but otherwise, there is no other way to get more space. The creator had to limit the game a bit because it was made by one person.
6. iPhone space📱
Usagi Shima takes up approximately 250mb.
If it is much more, you need to email the creator to help with this problem.
7.No Point
The game is as advertised. I don’t know why you would download this game if you think it has no point…

Some people complain that they don’t know what to do inside the game. You simply take care of the bunnies and decorate your island. if you are having trouble doing the tasks, see paragraph below. Try collecting all the buns and becoming their besties. :)

People have complained the track star quest is too hard. I have seen multiple reviews-most of them because of rage(lol)- on this. Though it does take a lot of time, effort, and focus, it is possible. It took me a while to get this one done. I useally check on my buns when I randomly have free time, but to complete this, I had to actually make time into my day to sit down and focus on it😅. Anyway, it is TOTALLY possible!
11. Build times🏠
I do agree that the build time is long, but you can watch an ad to skip it. The ad-free gamepass gets rid of it entirely. I am very sorry for the few that can’t watch ads for some reason.
12. Text style 💬
The text style is a stylistic choice, that is the reason it is all in lowercase. I understand it can be annoying for some people.

This game is so fun and relaxing and the bunnies are really cute and are animated really well. I remember even before it came out I set my App Store to download it the day it came out so I’ve had it since the beginning. The only bug I’ve experienced is that the blossom bunny almost never comes to my island. I’ve had her for months and can’t get her to full friendship hearts. She’s only visited 9 times since I’ve got her and in order to get the last achievement I need her to visit more often. I’m not sure is this is a bug or if it’s just the way this particular bunny is but either way this game is adorable!❤️
