Very Handy!

Do you have a bunch of USB-C power bricks lying around, and you’re not sure which ones will supply enough power to quick charge your MBP? This is the app. Sure, you can look in system information every time you plug something in, but this is faster.

why not a window?

Does a great job at displaying all your devices’ connection speeds, but crams it all into a dropdown menu for some reason. This would be a much better fit for display in a window.

Great :)

Very useful. Sometimes when I connect my iPhone 16 pro max and my Samsung T9 SSD it only shows the slow speed for one of them like 480 so I need to verify using this app and make sure they both show 10 for the speed which is a fast USB 3 speed so if it’s not i just disconnect and reconnect. I use that especially with the great local backup program that backs up the iPhone to the mac called iMazing. It’s like Time Machine for the iPhone. it can do so much.

Perfect for finding slow drives

It took a few apps before I found the right one and I’m pretty happy with this one.
Task bar drop down gives the full list of connected volumes and the speed they are connected at. This helps troubleshoot why copying files across different volumes can vary so much (480mbps vs 5gbps). Thankyou.

FINALLY! All the USBC Power Delivery info I’ve wanted!

So many times I’ve just wanted to know what Voltage and Amperage the charger I’m connected to is capable of. Normally I’d have to remember to have my USBC PD Multimeter with me. THANK YOU SO MUCH. You are an International Treasure.

Kind of a scam

You can find the same info in the system report. They also use the dropdown to link to an amazon affiliate link.

Great App!

This app is so simple to use, I love it. I would love to see an option to let it fallback to the icon when no power source is connected, rather than having text saying “Connected/Not Connected” as I’d love to see it only for wattage when connected.

Unfortunately not working - here

I downloaded the program and installed it.
It is listed in my programs.
However when I double click on it nothing happens.

Thanks for trying out our app. I am sorry for the confusion! Our app lives in your menu bar at the very top of the screen, so it won't open a separate window when you click it. Please look for our icon up there, near your Wi-Fi and clock icons. Sometimes, if you have too many icons, the menu bar runs out of room. You might need to hide a few other items or use a free app like "Hidden Bar" to manage them. Hope that helps you find it! Contact support at "dan@usbconnectioninformation.com" if you're still stuck.

Promising but needs refinement

I like the concept, shows all my current cable connections, however they all look greyed out, very difficult to read any of the information. No way of exporting the information to notes to act upon them.

Thanks for the feedback! To fix the readability issue, you can enable "Increase Contrast Mode" in the "Menu Details" section. I appreciate the suggestion for an export feature and will consider it for a future update.

Works fine but …

… at MacBook Pro 14“ M4 the output is shown as „unknown device“. Rest of the devices are fine …

Thanks for the report! I am constantly adding new hardware to our database. Support for the MacBook Pro 14" M4 was included in a recent update. Please make sure your app is updated to the latest version from the App Store to correctly identify the device. If the issue persists after updating, please do not hesitate to contact support.
