Fonts don’t work

No matter what font you used in your project, UXP mirror won’t load it.

Still needs work!

The UXPin Mirror app works as advertised. You can scan the QR code and preview the app on your phone. You do have to have interactions in place in order to navigate otherwise you can’t get to other screens in the project.

However, the prototype experience expires after a period of time which means if you want to show someone later what the app looks like and you’re not in front of your computer, no bueno.

I have used other prototyping apps such as AdobeXD which let you log in and navigate all your projects to make a selection and preview the app. This feature in UXPin Mirror should be a must add enhancement. When you spend so much time working on your prototypes, it’s nice to be able to access them at any time/place to show friends, coworkers, clients, executives etc.

UXPin is my prototyping tool of choice. Just need a better mobile preview app.

Response from developer

This sure would come in very handy. We've just noted this feature request down. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Michael

No sirve

Instalé su app, al querer abrirla se cierra 🙄y nunca abre.

Totally unusable

The app crashes before I’m able to scan anything

Response from developer

We're so sorry to hear that. Could you leave us some more details in the in-app chat so we can investigate it further?

Keeps crashing

Reinstalled but still crashing on launch. Cannot use it at all.

Response from developer

Hey there! Could you leave us some more details (with a preview link to the prototype which caused the Mirror app to crash) in the in-app chat?

Útil después de que lo arreglaron

Ya arreglaron el problema de escaneo de código QR, pero ahora a veces se traba y no carga el prototipo.

Keeps crashing

Was not able to view any prototype. The app just crashes over and over again. iPhone XS Max.

Please, drop us a line at hello@uxpin.com and share some more details. We'll investigate those problems as soon as we can!

Incompatible with iOS 13

Please update to let it work on iOS 13 ASAP thank you!

Just what I’m looking for out of UXPin but flawed

Having a similar experience to the other review. Tried to scan the qr code but it doesn’t recognize it. Then the app sits at the camera screen even after a hard reset. Need to uninstall and reinstall to work within the app again. So the app is pretty useless till that’s fixed.

Happy to return and update the app to 5⭐️ when this is working.

Response from developer

Hey there! Could you send us the QR code you were trying to scan at hello@uxpin.com? We'd love to investigate this issue further ASAP.

Can’t Change Page of Prototype

The app will read the QR code but when the prototype opens there are two issues:

1) I’m on the wrong page of the prototype
2) I can’t change the page of the prototype

So it’s not helpful to me as I’m trying to view a specific page :(

Response from developer

Hi there! Our Mirror app focuses mostly on emulating how the finished product/app will behave. That's why the preview lacks any additional UI that normally wouldn't be there. In order to switch between the pages, you'd need to add the 'Go to page' interaction first. But, of course, we definitely see your point here so if you won't mind, we'll mark the sitemap availability as a feature request! As for the wrong page of the prototype opened in the Mirror app, could you share with us some more details with a preview link at hello@uxpin.com?

Innovative, but not Functional yet..

I love the concept of just using a QR code, as it would allow my non UX coworkers to easily check out the prototype on their own devices too...

BUT the mobile app won’t read the code displayed on my desktop UXPin. I have to go into my phone camera, where it sends me into my browser to view it, instead of into your app (which of course makes it practically useless as it looks nothing like the real thing).

I know you’re only a week in, so just a heads up. When it starts to work, I’ll use it all the time / gladly give it 5 stars.
