What's New in VA Ready

1.8.4

August 26, 2026

New: save the collateral duties you held. In Claim Intel, Additional Duties, tap "I held this duty" on SERE, Auxiliary Security Force, Detainee Operations, Drill Sergeant, Airborne and the rest. They save to your profile and print on your claim summary, VSO packet and exposure profile. Collateral duties carry exposures and claimable conditions your primary MOS does not imply. New: edit or delete symptom log entries. Tap any entry in your history to view it, then edit or delete. Deleting asks first and cannot be undone. New: record every period of service properly. The same MOS can now attach to more than one period, so a 13F who served Active Duty and later National Guard can record both instead of picking one. Fixed: purchases now tell you what went wrong. If a subscription does not go through, the app says why instead of doing nothing. It also recognizes a purchase waiting on approval and tells you not to buy twice. Repeated card refusals are usually the store account, not the card. Improved: search explains itself. Search a symptom like "urinary frequency" or "nerve entrapment" and each result shows which of your terms matched it, so an unfamiliar clinical name makes sense. Fixed: MOS type survives a backup restore between iPhone and Android. Primary, secondary and prior no longer collapse to primary. New this month: nerve entrapment and pinched nerve now findable across 18 diagnostic codes. Added E-3 Sentry (AWACS), Army 18Z and 18F, Navy Auxiliary Security Force and Detainee Operations. Corrected Air Force AFSC titles (2E2X1, 2A8X1, 2A8X2, 2A9X1) and added 3D1X2. Fort Bragg, Fort Hood, Fort Gordon, Fort Polk and Fort Rucker restored to current names with the interim names still searchable. Fort A.P. Hill added.

Good

Very good app and useful but Marine MOSs are not all correct.

Recent Updates

Although not specifically geared for MacOS, the updates to the app recently have been fantastic. The ability to document your evidence, make notations, and review your conditions with periodic updates and comments solidifies this app as the best app there is for viewing, preparing, and filing VA Disability Compensation Claims. Worth way more than the cost of the lifetime subscription. Will be sharing this app with every veteran that brings up disability claims.

Thank y’all for creating this application, and I look forward to seeing the ongoing updates to MacOS ;]

Only Clam App YOU NEED

Hello and good morning from Austin, TX!

I wanted to express my appreciation for the recent application launch on desktop (even if not yet verified for iOS)! This is where I do most of my work surrounding my VA Disability, and building my claims, so convenient to have it on my computer rather than toggling back and forth between my iPad and my Mac.

With that, I have two requests that I believe would greatly improve the user interface (which are pretty basic features, so I’m sure y’all are working on it already, so forgive me if that is the case):

(1) the ability to zoom in or enlarge the text.

I'm finding it difficult to read the text, even on a larger monitor, and I often have to adjust my display settings for the entire monitor just to zoom in on the text. This seems like a basic feature, so I assume you might already be working on it or perhaps have implemented it, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do it on my Mac. If that’s the case, could you please direct me on how to access this feature?

(2) Add the ability to copy and paste information from the app into my notes.

Manually copying standards is time-consuming, so I'm currently resorting to taking screenshots and having ChatGPT transcribe my notes. While it works, it would be much simpler for users to copy and paste directly.

Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestions!

I truly appreciate you, the application, and the services you provide for veterans like myself, who are often exhausted from dealing with the VA.

Missing base option.

Missing Camp Humphrey South Korea

Response from developer

We have added this base, and a whole lot of others based on user feedback! Thanks!

Well researched with definitive sources NO KC-10 on equipment list. 2 star penalty

Wish the app was around when....I started the filing process! Step by step and references are most helpful. Get this app, find your local VSO, and document, document, document. The coordination to make this app is apparent, thanks guys.

Response from developer

We constantly make updates and based on your feedback have added the KC-10 and other equipment!
